Unbelievably bad

Wow. Customer service is so bad. My whole family has been with fido for 10+ years. Hit with a 3G Administration Bill ($84 incl tax) even though I'm already on a 4G phone. Went online chat for Bill dispute ("AskJack") and they gave me an automated answer about my monthly charge, but didn't answer about this extra charge. Called customer service to speak with an actual human being. Had to schedule an appointment for the next day, only have the customer support person giving me a web link to talk to this same AI again! and I'm getting the same automated result!
He said sorry it didn't work and told me to visit a Fido store. I mean, to walk into a store in person to have them tell me to talk to the AI again? Now I don't know what to do but have to keep trying to call customer support until I find a person who can actually help and submit a bill dispute request for me. Might need to switch my family over to another service.

Fido is a horrible company with horrible customer service. Their plans are over priced and they dont even offer studen services. They constantly lie about arrangements. They will agree on an arrangement and then go back on their word. It's run horrible and no one should have any services with these people.

They offer you 1000 minutes of…

They offer you 1000 minutes of international calls and 1000 minutes for US calls. Well what they didn't tell you is that they have a list of countries you can call only but they don't shared it with you so when you use them they charged you a exaggerated amount of money. I don't trust them anymore

If I could give no stars on this review…

If I could give no stars on this review I would in a heartbeat. I called on 2026-01-12 to ask a simple billing question but my experience was anything but simple. Prompts ( no human was possible to speak with) required me to choose a time/date when I could receive a call back but availability of time slots was an issue and I kept having to choose dates further and further away. Who should have to wait to speak to a customer service rep at some time totally inconvenient when you cannot predict what is happening in your life. I would hope that Fido changes the process and if not renames it's customer service to something more fitting, i.e. Customer Disservice. If I had any choice at this time I would cancel my service contract and try to find a company with better customer service. I'm wondering how many of thse negative reviews the company has to receive before policy changes. In my case I intend to filke a complaint with CCTS

Was a customer for over 25 years, left because Fido is garbage

Was a customer for over 25 years, recently switched providers because Fido customer service and support has become total garbage. Can't get a hold of anyone, all automated. When you do speak with someone they lie about plans, fees, pricing. Filed a complaint with the CCTS. Fido needs to shut down.

Horrible Customer Service

Fido is right up there with horrible customer service. These companies do not care if your a long standing customer. I receive multiple emails and all are always contracting each other. If you want to talk to someone you have to make an appt and it's days away from the day you call. Just waiting for my contract to end.

After 15+ years I’m officially done with Fido. Why did it take this long ? Lovely customer ? They give u nothing . They keep changing all the plans around so once you find a plan stick to it you will loose many features for more expensive price . To loose in the End . The customer service is appalling. We willleave the topic a lone that no one there speaks English. And I’d like to highlight how incompetent they are . Moving to Cogeco was the best decision I made 62 dollars on savings . I highly suggest anyone to move. Another upsetting factor is th fact that it’s impossible to talk to someone on the phone now !!!!! - Fido it was nice knowing you . I will be pulling my mom and sister to Cogeco too

OMG - good luck getting an erroneous charge refunded

OMG. They charged me a $20 fee for using a "specialist" to change my phone plan when I did it online myself, and it's been a NIGHTMARE trying to get a refund. It takes days to get a live person on the line and then they just submit the request for review, only to get an email says later declining a refund. Today is Tuesday morning. To get a live person on the phone, again, I have to wait until Friday! Ridiculous customer service!

The quality of customer servcie is garbage

Fido used to have the best customer service, but now they have the worst customer service. People are rude, unprofessional, and don't know what they are talking about. Some of them don't really speak English. One star is too much for their garbage service.

Been with Fido for 16 years

Been with Fido for 16 years, mostly due to my laziness of switching companies. They offer refurbished phones on their website but when you try to order one you end up with an email several days later claiming it’s back ordered due to high demand, then after a month they ship you a new phone for 3 times the price you agreed to. Then dealing with customer service is a nightmare and they provide no actual solution other than to generate a return for the device. Leaving that company is the best option, their phone plans are good for new customers only, once you’re in they stick you with higher priced plans and no assistance from customer service

I had a disappointing experience with…

I had a disappointing experience with Fido in Vancouver. I contacted their customer service at +1 (888) 481‑3436 because my bill had increased without prior notice.

The representative’s attitude was unprofessional, and they told me that they cannot lower the bill for this month, only for the next one. This is completely unfair and unacceptable.

Overall, I do not recommend Fido due to poor customer service and unfair billing practices.

The AI customer service is built to suck…

The AI customer service is purposely frustrating and poorly optimized in the hopes customers will give up rather than try to have their issues addressed. I was simply trying to return a call I had received which turned into a half hour headache trying to navigate the AI systems only to have to wait a full week for a customer service rep to call me back.
The purpose of these AI customer service options to to get customers used to the idea of having no more customer service. I would be 100x happier just walking to a location rather than the false promise of phone service. Phone service is not something fido supports anymore, it's not designed to be useful, it's built to suck. It's job is to have people so frustrated after the interaction they never want to make an attempt to contact customer support ever again.
