new motor self build kit Bafang BBS 500W has been 100% success, and an easy rebuild. It replaced a Bafang front hub motor from Fietsunie that has given 6 years of almost perfect daily service - same battery throughout. The bike hauls a sidecar and as our kid got bigger I needed just that little bit extra power for the hills. Very pleased with the goods and the service.

I had a strange experience with Fietsunie. I needed to buy a battery for my bike, but I wasn’t sure about the exact one. So, I added a note to my order and included photos. However, they sent the wrong product without checking the notes. I then started the return process and sent the package back via DHL, paying the return fee. After DHL received my package, Fietsunie apologized for their mistake, but then DHL lost the package.

Here’s where it got strange: since I was the one returning the package, DHL wouldn’t let me open an investigation. When I informed Fietsunie, they said they would start the process, but I also needed to initiate it. After a process of about a month, the package couldn’t be found, but Fietsunie still refunded my money.

The process was a bit rough, but in the end, I wasn’t left at a loss. I’m looking forward to shopping with them again. I’m sure this was just a one-time unlucky incident. I’m grateful that they didn’t leave me disadvantaged.

It’s understood that delivery of the part ordered was two weeks. But could not find any tentative date right after buying. Glad the part arrived right on time but would be nice to have the tentative delivery date in the order confirmation.

I bought the wrong article. It was not a problem to return it back and to buy the correct one which I am very happy with. Thank you!

The promise of next day delivery is not true. My order was scheduled to be delivered at a very inconvenient 22:30 pm next day but they did not show up despite me waiting, cancelling it 10 min before informing heavy traffic which looks like bad planning and not true. A waste of time.

EN: I called Fietsunie for many questions before buying a bakfiets, and I had the chance to have the wonderful Michelle who answered all my questions with patience, she made effort to speak in english, and was very kind and well informed. If she did not know she took the time to double check!

It is so nice to see that kind, professional and very service oriented person still exist! Thanks a lot Michelle !

Als ze het niet wist, nam ze de tijd om het nog eens te controleren!
