BILLING AND PAYMENT

Title: Misleading Practices and Unethical Billing – Be Cautious

I am writing this review to warn other business owners about my experience with Hegnar Medias Bokklubb.

I was suddenly billed for a subscription I never agreed to or signed up for. There was no contract, no confirmation, and no clear communication from their side. Yet, they sent me invoices claiming I had entered into a binding 12-month agreement. This is completely false.

Even worse, one of the invoices was labeled as a cancellation fee for ending a subscription I never knew I had. Another invoice for NOK 433 came later, with no proper explanation of what it was for. When I contacted them, their answers were vague and unconvincing.

Most businesses, including mine, approve invoices automatically through accounting software — and it seems they are exploiting this fact to sneak in charges people don’t notice until it’s too late. This feels like a deliberate tactic to extract money from unsuspecting customers.

In my opinion, this is 100% unethical and borders on scam behavior. I strongly advise others to double-check any invoice from this company and never agree to anything over the phone without a written contract.

This has been a frustrating and time-wasting experience. Transparency and trust are fundamental in business, and unfortunately, Hegnar Medias Bokklubb / finansavisen failed on both.
