settled my loan with FinChoice (PayStretch) in full on 11 March. They misallocated my payment, then created a "new" balance from an 8 March transaction backdated to 18 March. Despite dozens of calls and emails, they ignored me and then debited an unauthorised instalment from my account. This is either gross incompetence or deliberate fraud – stay away.

Do not take a loan from Finchoice, they are fraudsters. They dont reply to emails. I applied for a loan with them on today, i received an sms to say it was approved, they attached a debit order to my account and then without informing me they declined my loan after telling me it was approved.

Angry .....
Im demanding for immediate cancellation of the loan and Pay Just Now agreement in partnership with FinChoice, as well as the removal of the debit mandate on my account.
I did not apply for this loan. Someone else used my personal details without my consent. I have already requested cancellation via email and WhatsApp, but no action has been taken. This lack of response constitutes poor service and is unacceptable.
In terms of my consumer rights, I formally withdraw any consent to this agreement and to any debit order deductions. Should you fail to remove the debit mandate immediately, I will escalate this matter to the National Credit Regulator (NCR), my bank for a debit order dispute, and any other relevant regulatory authority.
Please confirm in writing within 24 hours that the loan, pending application, and debit mandate have been cancelled.

I have had several loans through FinChoice, and everything went well. However, when I lost my job, through no fault of my own, and informed FinChoice, the problems began. They started calling me many, many times per day - up to 22 times. I answer the call, often no one speaks, and when they do, they listen and say they will keep phoning me until I make an arrangement with them, which I cannot do without an income. I wrote to them requesting that they only contact me via writing, and still, I get calls. This is negatively impacting my life. I have ended up swearing at them and losing my temper, which is not great, but this is really an untenable situation.

Worst Service ever, I have been calling and emailing them with no luck, I want them to close my accounts that I have fully paid and have a refund but I am told my query is be escalated all the time this is frustrating really, and they keep on adding interest on a paid up account so that I'll remain owing them, Finchoice refund me and close my accounts please and don't tell me to send an email because you do not respond to emails 😢

Incompetent rude staff, technical glitches unnecessary strict requirements for a low rated FSP. Not recommended

Their IT department takes over 12 months to update contacts numbers, being stuck with an old number since 2024 December, each time I call am promised the matter will be resolved withing 48 hours, that has been going on since 2024, no feedback given, they do not even make call references, quick to phone when payment is not received, but reluctant to address issues. Requested a statement for about 6 months , nothing to date

Called them on 22nd December about a double deduction till now no refund, no on the call lines cares to assist im so fed up of being on the short end of the stick.
Missed kids birthdays 26th and 27th due to no extra funds which originally belongs to me.
This should be investigated why people are less trusting companies and it's due to this kind of service.
Never again

Really quick to contact you over 10 times a day. However you guys double debited me… I owed R160. Dit a settlement payment earlier, which you didn’t log on your system. And then proceeded to debit me R500+ the next day. Even though the debt was fully settled. Now it reflects that you guys owe me R500+. Emailed 3 times today. Have I received a single call or reply back from you, no! Maybe ai should call you 10+ times a day to get it settled. Please reply to my email tomorrow or give me a call!

This finchoice thing is corruption in disguise.people are getting scammed unaware due to their fees.they can choose not to debit their money on the agreed date so that they can put interest on your balance. Last month I was told that I owe some interests on my loan so they will take it by month end and we agreed.monthend they took all their money but now I m receiving calls saying that I am still owing them.and they only tells me that they are going to debit my account. I now want finchoice to remove my information from their system so that I must not think of them ever again for the rest of my life

I am very disappointed with FinChoice. I took a loan with them, and our agreement clearly states that my repayment date is on the 25th of each month. However, FinChoice keeps attempting to debit my account before the agreed date, which causes unnecessary non-honouring fees and financial stress.
It’s unfair and unacceptable that FinChoice can debit my account whenever they please, even though we have a set date in our agreement. I expect FinChoice to refund all the non-honouring fees charged as a result of these early debit attempts and to honour the agreed debit date moving forward.

Scammers with a bunch of bogus charges. I’m trying to work through my elderly aunt’s statement as our family are trying to settle her debts. FPPP insurance fees, Admin fees etc; I’m looking into what I assume is a payment projection insurance policy that seems to be forced on customers but it’s probably not worth the paper it’s written on, just another charge to keep increasing your balance. I left a review a few days ago, I received a reply saying that they have contacted my aunt but they have not. They obviously have staff monitoring socials but their response is more or less the same to everyone (also see Hello Peter) but nothing seems to get resolved. They have been trying to collect a debit order every day after we have told them that there is no money in the account, her partner passed away and she has no fixed address anymore yet they continue to rake up her bank charges. Their customer service agents give fake names when they call you. They have been harassing my aunt and she wrote down some of the names of the people who called her. Rang them yesterday, 3 of the names (including last names) apparently don’t work there! The more reviews I see, the more sceptical I am about trying to settle this loan; FinChoice doesn’t seem to cancel debit orders after settlement and some people mentioned that a year after settlement they are still being pursued by them. We have contacted them so many times with a settlement amount but no response. If you are thinking about using this company, read up on them and run the other way!

Fraudulent Company that refuses to pay my money back
Biggest bunch of robbers!! Do not take out any loans with them as they will double debit your account and refuse to pay you back. R6000 they have taken in unauthorized debits and are not willing to help, they will see no more money from me.
