I ordered my skip and the night before…

I ordered my skip and the night before I ended up reading the reviews which then I started to panic thinking the skip would not turn up. I called the day the skip was due to arrive and a lady confirmed yet it should be with you before mid day. The skip arrived as promised. I booked the slip for 2 weeks and needed to extend for a further week so I called to ask and was advised I will check and send you an email. I received an email the following day to say yes no problem the skip has been extended and no further charges. The skip was collected on the agreed date with no trouble.
Do not listen to the bad reviews I had no issues at all.

Won't use again

I have used multiple times as I thought they are cheaper way to go but have actually cost me with skips not arriving or being picked up until a week after the due date. Also, takes a while to get hold of anyone and get sorted, not good.

Ordered a skip mainly to take an old…

Ordered a skip mainly to take an old mattress. Even ticked the box on the online order form. Ordered at the weekend for a skip on the Monday, was called Monday morning to be informed that there were no skips available then but I could have one on Tuesday, nothing was mentioned about the mattress during this call. Skip was collected the following Monday when the mattress was mentioned to the driver and the fact it was on the order. On Friday opened front door to find the mattress dumped in the front garden. No one knocked to say they were returning it. Just a dump and run, called company before 16:30 to find out why, but no one answered. Extremely annoyed as the main reason for the skip hire was to get rid of the mattress. Now going to have to spend even more to get it removed. So not very happy

Complete waste of time

Ordered and charged for skip online only to be told the next day that the limit was 14 days for hire not the 6 weeks I had requested. After cancelling I then had to ring round skip companies and found one who would supply me for the period.

Very stressful experience

We have found using this company an extremely stressful experience. The staff are polite on the phone, but the service is really inadequate. We have pleaded with them to remove a skip from outside of our now sold property, and they know the urgency of the situation, but it has made no difference, despite it being over 2 weeks since the agreed collection date. Using Findaskip has been the most stressful aspect of our house sale. Avoid if you can.

The collection date passed but we were not alerted by the customer or the supplier that the skip remained on site.

Once we were informed we contacted the supplier immediately, this was the 8th of September. The supplier informed us that this would take a few days to collect as they had a HGV driver shortage problem, like the rest of the country currently does and collections were running behind. The skip was collected on Saturday the 11th of September and a £20 good will gesture was given to the customer for the inconvenience caused.

We responded to every email the customer sent even out of hours on the Saturday, I feel that is not a fair review to say our service was inadequate, we are governed by the supplier collecting the skips and the fact that there is a national HGV shortage. We were prompt with our responses and we continuously chased the supplier on behalf of the customer to get the matter resolved

Do not use this company

I booked and paid for a skip 9 days before I wanted delivery, you would think plenty of time right? Not with Findaskip.co.uk. They failed to deliver the skip on the day I requested, I even messaged them on the day to ask what time it would arrive and was told between 8am-12pm!

Guess what, it didn't arrive and it was Saturday so no chance of getting one sent out until Monday. So a total loss of a weekend, a waste of friends time who had agreed to help me with the filling of the skip!

Do not use this company, find a local company and pay the extra few quid as all I got was excuses that it wasn't their fault and it was the provider's fault which is just awful to blame someone else for their failure,

Customer service is very important to us and we did fail to deliver Mr Vernon's skip on his chosen delivery day. We did not blame someone else, we explained that their had been a miscommunication between us and the supplier, our apprentice booked this in, but did not have it confirmed in an email. When Mr Vernon contacted us on the Saturday to check the delivery time, we did not check that it was booked in as it was showing on our system as out for delivery.

We have reviewed the training for our apprentice and updated their training to ensure we do not make the same mistake. In addition to this we will always check that orders are actually on the system if a customer contacts us checking a delivery time.

We did offer Mr Vernon a £20 goodwill gesture and offered to deliver the skip on Monday. He opted for a full refund. We called Mr Vernon after the refund to follow up on our failings and offer a further apology.

Booked a skip online with findaskip - excellent online customer service

Booked a skip online with findaskip and was delighted with the online customer service from Megan. There seems to be a real shortage of skips and drivers at the moment and a couple of companies haven't responded to my requests over the last weeks. Findaskip have online chat, so you can check availability before booking and Megan actually managed to find a cheaper skip for me, just a few days later than I had requested, which is no problem for me. She sorted the dates, sent an updated order by email all in a few minutes. I would definitely recommend this company from a customer service perspective.

3 weeks and 5 calls instead of a week

We ordered a skip for a week and they've collected it after 3 weeks. I've called the company 5 times by the time they've collected it. When the driver came, he didn't even apologize and didn't even say 'Good morning' or 'Good bye', rude staff. Never order from them again.

I have looked into this order, the order was placed on Monday 19th October evening outside of our usual business hours, you called to chase up the order Tuesday 20th which you had placed for that day, we let you know that the supplier quoted on the site was running a few days behind and would not be able to do the delivery until Thursday.

You were offered an alternative supplier who could do the following day (Wednesday) however they were slightly more expensive £28.20 or you were offered a full refund on the order.

You opted to pay the additional for the alternative supplier.

In addition to this our website does also have displays up all over the site to let customers know that although we are operating due to the current climate we cannot guarantee a next day/same day delivery.

We apologise that you feel you have received a bad service from us, however had we known you took issue with this at the time we may have been able to resolve this in another way.

Skip almost delivered to neighbour .

I have ordered three skips without incident from another provider and forgot their name. I ordered a skip via find a skip at 40 pounds extra than my usual company. I waited till 1500 and phoned to ask where my skip was. Said it would be there within the hour. Not only did my skip turn up but it wAs. almost delivered to the wrong address. As it was the company I usually use I checked the address online and it was for me but had been incorrectly given to the company. My advice would be to find a local skip hire company. It will work out cheaper and will be less hassle. I will never use find a skip again Bad service.

Thank you for your feedback. At the point of booking a full quote was given and it is your decision to go with us or look at other companies for price comparison. We always try to remain competitively priced and offer our cheapest supplier price to you for the waste type specified and hire period. At the point of booking you did not add any special request for an early delivery time and skips are therefore delivered using the most economically suitable routes throughout the day. We have checked our records and the supplier record and the address provided to the skip driver was correct, it was just simply human error (of the driver) that he tried to deliver next door. We are sorry for any inconvenience this could have potentially caused.

Really easy, friendly and good service....

I believe they act as middle man to find you a skip in your area. Firstly on cost they were about £20 cheaper than anyone else, which when you consider the cost of a skip it is nice to get something a little cheaper. We booked a date and they came back immediately to say they couldn't do it until the following week and offered us an immediate refund. We were in no hurry so we asked for it to be delivered on 8 June. As promised it arrived early morning, and now we are waiting for the skip to be collected which will be this week. We have found contact really easy, and very friendly. We contacted a few companies around Bristol who didn't respond. I guess if you need it for tomorrow then it might be a problem but at this current moment in time I guess there are not going to be many people who can deliver next day....so would really recommend....thank you :-)

WILL LOOK AT REVIEWS NEXT TIME

looking at the reviews here I should have probably read them first before ordering from these.I ordered around 6 pm and was surprised that my order for next day was excepted and that my skip would be here next day They took my money for this service.I have been waiting for the skip and logged into my emails to find that they actually do not have a skip for delivery.
i contacted them by email to explain how dissapointed i had been with their service as they had not phoned me about this and was surprised that as soon as my email telling them i am leaving a bad review they were on the phone to me explaining that they are a small buisiness and the current situation makes things harder.I agreed yet they still ,in these difficult times when monies are scarce, Took my money for a service that they could not supply and thus stopping me ordering from elsewhere and having it dilivered today when i needed it.A day wasted and possibly more now trying to resource.

Ordered from findaskip booked on line put in date I needed skip for booking was completed. Skip didn’t turn up rang office twice asking we’re is the skip got told be with you at 4 in afternoon paid labourer for a days work at £80 to fill skip . Skip still not with me by 4 skip didn’t turn up at all. Office called me next morning to say skip will be with me that day to late for me needed skip on the day I booked had labourer and digger waiting. Will not use this company again.

Unfortunately the supplier was unable to deliver the skip on your requested day due to sudden staff changes on the day. They had two drivers that were sent home to self isolate and could not fulfil all their orders. They could deliver the following day but as this was too late for you, we refunded you in full. In addition to this have changed the wording on our website to include the following to avoid future disappointment: Due to COVID 19 and the high volume of orders we are receiving, delivery dates are subject to change.
