This is sure a good website for finding spring water natural sources near you. Spring water is best for drinking and is recommended by many doctors and professionals. But always be aware that not every spring water is safe. Consulting local peoples for any known issues in water is not a bad idea.
Water should be tested regularly by certified labs and online websites for water testing should be avoided because water samples should be delivered to lab within 7-8 hours in icebox for proper testing. Make sure water sample temperature is kept between 2-8 degree celsius when delivering samples to lab. Water samples should not be frozen.
Here are recommended timelines for water sample to reach certified labs(NABL certified in case of India) after collecting samples in sterilized borosilicate container and then delivering samples in icebox for various very useful tests:
>For Microbiological Testing (e.g., E. coli, coliforms)- 8 hours
>For Chemical Testing (e.g., heavy metals, nitrates): 24 hours
Any test where the sample reaches the lab after 24 hours should not be considered right for above critical parameters. Some other testing parameters can still be tested even after 24 hours of water sample reaching lab like Hardness (Ca, Mg), Chloride (Cl⁻), Sulphate (SO₄²⁻), Alkalinity, COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand), Ammonia (NH₃-N) etc.
