Outstanding view
A truely outstanding viewing, Lucie was on time well presented and was able to confirm all the information about the property.
She also gave a key information to assist us with an application.
She was a breath of fresh air and gave us a confidence boost the the Banbury office cared about the potential Tennant and the amount of financial pressure place on the rental market.
Finderkeepers are leading the way and Lucie adding a high level of perfessionalism lacking at other letting agencies.

Safeguarding Neglect & Failure to Keep Proper Records
Safeguarding neglect: Allowing contractors to access rental property without properly notifying tenants. In one case a female tenant (student, early 20's) was alone in the property and exited her bedroom to discover a complete stranger (male) standing in the hallway - this turned out to be a contractor who had been given access to the property by FK. Failure to keep proper records and to update paperwork correctly: Incorrectly advising tenants of their monthly direct debits causing a deficit to be allowed to accumulate over several months before correction was made and demand for recompense. When complaints are/were made they are/were met with a level of arrogant defensiveness that is/was unprofessional.

Beware of Finders Keepers'
Beware of Finders Keepers'
Their disregard for the truth continues. After my unfavourable review of them yesterday I read their reply which was that I was satisfied with the discussion Gareth Gould & I had re my complaint. Quite untrue. Their spokesperson said they would be happy to discuss it further but tho' I tried to speak to her or Gareth Gould or the MD, Paul Rushworth, yesterday afternoon no-one has bothered to contact me.
I am putting in a TPO complaint to The Property Ombudsman.
Finders Keepers are way ahead of other…
Finders Keepers are way ahead of other agents in terms of knowledge, efficiency and helpfulness. I've worked with them for 20 years. They helped my son as a student tenant and more recently me as a landlord representative in my work and landlord in my own right. Helen Dunn, in particular, is highly capable and I rely on her to deal with the legal paperwork and trust her to make sure I'm fully current with regulations and documents.
Flippant attitude towards tenant rights
Now that we've moved out I can finally leave a review and feel a modicum of catharsis.
As tenants we found Finders Keepers (West Oxford) consistently disrespectful of our tenant rights. In particular, they repeatedly would schedule property visits or maintenance visits with less than 24 hours notice. We politely pointed out that this violated our right to live privately and without disturbance, but this email was not acknowledged and this behaviour continued throughout our two-year tenancy. Giving 24 hours notice before a property visit is a low bar. It's basic courtesy, as well as a legal obligation.
On the plus side, we had a mostly pleasant move out experience. Our deposit was returned almost in full with some slightly overpriced but mostly fair charges. And we found the move out guidance clear and helpful.
On the whole, though, our impression was that FK's incentives were overall aligned with keeping our landlord happy. They didn't much care that we were quiet, respectful tenants. In fact, I think their incentive might be to have higher tenant turnover so their landlord clients are more reliant on their services. You'll notice that the positive reviews mostly come from landlords while negative reviews are more from tenants.

Great property management for the house we rented as student tenants
Finders Keepers managed our student tenancy on behalf of our landlord, and were super throughout. Callum took over as our property manager part way through our tenancy, and showed huge attention to detail, especially during our check-out. Callum was really communicative both over the phone and on email, and really worked with us to make sure we were heard as tenants. We felt really safe and assured renting as students with FK (not always a given as we've since learnt from other estate agents!), and we felt FK held our best interests throughout. We were very lucky to also have an exceptional landlord, who it was clear FK kept a good working rapport with; minor maintenance issues that we reported were dealt with quickly and professionally. Thank you for a really positive rental experience!

Finders Keepers
I've had property with Finders Keepers for 20+ years and they have been great. I'm very keen that tenants are looked after and they are very prompt with repairs. I also had a good experience having property upgraded and this added to the value and it showed very well. Recommend them as agents and I will continue to be a client for a good time to come.
James Reynolds from North Oxford
JAMES REYNOLDS from Finderskeepers North Oxford branch has been very helpful to our family finding a home as tenants. As we were moving from abroad, we had no knowledge of Oxford tenancy market and we were shocked that the flats were taken within 24 hours. Traveling with out 4 year old child, we were depressed and worried about finding a home for our family. Then we got lucky and met James. James has been extremely helpful to us in many ways, he found a perfect home for our family taking our needs into consideration, he was extremely polite and patient with our questions and we had many as we were moving from abroad being strangers to the system. He was always accessible by both email and by phone. He made the process very quick for us as we were in a hurry. We cannot express how valuable James' help is for us. We are incredibly grateful to him. We would like to recommend James Reynolds and his team at North Oxford Finderskeepers to anyone considering a tenancy at Oxford. Thank you James!
Sadly seems understaffed and…
Sadly seems understaffed and overworked. Property managers are tasked with full-time jobs outside of the office, so emails are left unanswered for weeks, if responded to at all. When visited in person or called, the agent seems apologetic that staff are overworked, and apologized for the poor service. Issues with house such as leaks and electricity faults have taken 9-12 months to resolve. Hopefully management can work to relieve overburdened junior staff which is leading to mistakes in admin and long delays in resolving housing issues for both the tenant and landlord.

A really good company to rent from
A really good company to rent from. I have found the perfect house and they were extremely accommodating in helping me find it. Emma, in particular, is a lovely real estate agent who helped me find somewhere in East Oxford - she was so kind and professional. The company is lucky to have her on team.
DO NOT RENT WITH THIS COMPANY
I enquired about a property LAST WEEK through Finders Keepers in Oxford & arranged for a virtual viewing. The agent “forgot” to call me for the virtual viewing and the property was subsequently no longer available.
Rent elsewhere if you can
I have rented a property managed by Finders Keepers in Summertown Oxford for nearly 6 years. We have now moved and changed property managers. Luckily. We rented an expensive property, all issues that we flagged were managed at the slowest possible speed, the only thing FK were always quick to do was to increase the rent by 6 to 12% each year, never any attention or checking-in if all was well. Now, at the end of the tenancy, the check-out meant that we were given a lengthy document with the tiniest details minuted of all the things we would need to do (as if moving isn't stressful enough), they were going to completely refurbish the house (having raised the rent by another 30% for the next tenants, poor them!). Subsequently, all kinds of charges are now going to be deducted from my deposit adding insult to injury. If you can rent elsewhere, please do so. Finders Keepers say they get good ratings, maybe from wealthy landlords... not from anyone letting from them.
Rivercourt on Trinity Finders Keepers
We just moved in to Rivercourt on Trinity Street yesterday and had to call a plumber because there was no hot water. The property was poorly managed by Finders Keepers. on the first day, there was no hot water and none of the heaters were working. The plumber advised us to get an electrician to fix the heaters. it is winter now in Oxford.
Letting agent Chris emailed me, "the demand in Oxford is very high and the landlord could have gone with anyone else as there are many that want the property. if we put it back on the market this week we would have it let again within a few days." this is Finders Keepers. I wonder how I can report the agency to a supervisory body. the agent gave us a faulty apartment on day one.
Damp, poorly managed property with repeatedly bodged repairs
Rising damp, a leaking asbestos roof that wasn't fixed for several years other than bodging a bead of mastic on it now again when water flowed through the ceiling and finally an attempt to wrongfully withhold our deposit to pay for various problems that were already present with the property when we moved in. Avoid this letting agent - they are truly awful.
FRAUDSTERS AND LIERS!
Liers and con artists!
£1350 a month for a house with mice (apparently just part of living in the country so not dealt with), no working shower or bath!
As previous reviewer stated, blamed us for their cheap workmen who after more than a year and a number of tenants couldn’t stop the shower leaking through the ceiling over the Exposed live wires of the unsafe lights!
Told us when we moved in what things were going to be fixed and they never were, and then found out from neighbours THEY GIVE KEYS TO CONTRACTORS TO ENTER THE PROPERTY WHILST YOURE NOT THERE!!!!
I would not rent from them again.
If you are looking for agency which you can trust and work with then it is NOT finders kepeers.
People don't want to listen and you are blamed for it even if you followed their guidance.
find out after 6 month that there is renewal cost. Why they don't make it clear in the first place.
Safe yourself a TDS dispute and dont rent.
Be safe!
