Replacement for a faulty Rainbird jacket
I sent an email asking whether the level of wear my Rainbird jacket was normal for a 4yr old model. The customer service team immediately got back to me and said that, as a company who pride themselves on sustainability and longevity, it was not acceptable. I was offered a full refund or a replacement jacket from the new range. I sent the email on a Monday evening, had a response the next morning telling me how to return the jacket ( very easy) and I received the new jacket on Wednesday, this was extraordinary customer service. It is so nice to find a company that honours their own business model and puts their customers first. Thank you Finisterre.

On experience not buying into the hype
Recently purchase the Firecrest jacket and disappointed by the quality of the fabric and the cut was awful. (Actually a birthday present so had to say I loved it). Sizing is very small when I wear Volcom, Carhartt, to name a few and I am Large, sleeve is ridiculously short and the cut around the arm hole is tapered vertically and also short. Should not be up sizing by two sizes which is ludicrous cut, that is company cutting corners in pattern tech department. I get the recycle narrative but the branding is over pitching in quality versus the huge price tag. Brought a T from them which I can even start where to unpick the low standards in quality compared with price. Need to back quality when charging highly exorbitant price before I would dip my toes again.

Expensive and poor quality unfortunately
Love the idea and styles but bought several knit jumpers and a fleece. Wasn’t very impressed by the quality. The fleece was very thin and very disappointed that the jumper shrunk even when instructions were followed ie 20 degrees no spin. For £90 wouldn’t recommend and unfortunately won’t buy their wool products again. Found Patagonia fleece to be of better quality.

If I could award more than 5 stars I would. I saw a jacket my daughter bought from Finisterre that I loved. She was very happy with it and said what brilliant customer service they had. I ordered the same jacket in a different colour for an upcoming holiday. It arrived today and it is lovely. However, it is too big. I contacted Finisterre by email late afternoon on the Thursday before the long Easter bank holiday weekend as I really need a replacement by next Tuesday when I am going on holiday. The response was incredibly quick. They sent me a link to purchase the size I wanted, to include my newcomers discount transferred from my original order and assurance that they would send it express delivery so I could take it on holiday. I have had a notification that it has been shipped and I will receive it Easter Saturday. All this done by email within an hour of me contacting them. I can’t praise them highly enough and am so looking forward to getting the jacket. I think it will last me a long time and will give me great pleasure wearing.

The whole process was incredibly efficient—the replacement was delivered within a day! Hayley, along with her team, was so helpful and friendly throughout. I recently reached out to Customer Service after accidentally shrinking my Mora merino wool jumper shortly after purchase, largely due to not fully reviewing the detailed care guide before washing. When I explained the situation, both Milan and Becky responded in a professional and efficient manner, helping me resolve the issue. I was only hoping to find a way to salvage the damage, but I was pleasantly surprised to be offered an exchange for a replacement instead.
I initially chose to purchase from Finisterre because of their commitment to high-quality products and their use of recycled materials. It's reassuring to know that their customer service also upholds these high standards, ensuring a positive experience for everyone. After this exceptional support, I have no doubt that I’ll be a loyal customer for years to come.

I had missed the deadline for returning a jacket but Becky in the Customer Services team extended the deadline so I could still return it. She replied to my email promptly, efficiently and professionally and, despite the fact that it was my fault that I’d missed the deadline, she fixed the problem. I’m so impressed with this and was just sorry that the jacket didn’t fit me.
