It was all very strange.
We were assisted by an agent named Rocio. After asking us for an excessive amount of documentation in a very insistent manner, she simply stopped responding. Later, she mentioned that she would be on vacation until September 16th and then disappeared.

We don’t have a bad credit history or any financial insolvency, so I don’t believe that was the reason. In any case, disappearing like that without any explanation left us with a very poor impression.

Rocío made our home buying process so easy; all we had to do was follow the steps she laid out for us. She clearly outlined all the steps involved in the purchase beforehand, and she was with us every step of the way. Rocío consistently communicated with us, the lender, the notary, and the seller. Even with delays from the seller and the bank, Rocío was persistent and kept us apprised of any changes to the timeline. I absolutely recommend her services, as we couldn’t have bought our home without her.

My partner and I are from England/America and just completed the purchase of our first property together in Spain with the help of Rocio Castillo from Finlaw. Before we realized that a friendly fellow Mom from International School - Rocio is in fact also an amazing lawyer and a mortgage Brooker we were completely and totally lost. Honestly, she was and still is a God sent! Never ever have we realized ( two highly educated, worldly people who worked and lived in different places all over the world who happen also to speak Spanish )that buying a property in Spain is such a complicated process.
It took Rocio just a few weeks what we were struggling to accomplish in months ( be aware we are EU citizens, we were eligible for a mortgage, had money for the downpayment and had employment contracts). If you want to do any type of investments in Spain you need a good lawyer , you need Rocio. Rocio speaks English fluently and is accustomed to working with international clients, she knows their needs and expectations. It makes a world of difference to work with somebody who will help you with all the steps and will make sure you don't omit, or forget anything.
