I had an extremely disappointing experience at this dental practice. I visited due to a persistent ache in my lower jaw on both sides, where my wisdom teeth are located. Unfortunately, the level of care and professionalism was far below acceptable standards.

The dentist (Dr Handan) did not perform a thorough examination of my wisdom teeth. She failed to check for signs of inflammation or infection and did not order an X-ray to assess the situation. This basic diagnostic step is essential for understanding the cause of such pain.

When I inquired about potential treatment options, I was abruptly told that the NHS no longer offers wisdom teeth extractions. This information felt dismissive and misleading, as I later learned that the NHS does provide extractions in cases of medical necessity.

Throughout the appointment, the dentist seemed rushed and visibly annoyed when I asked questions to better understand my condition and options. This dismissive attitude made me feel like a burden rather than a patient seeking help.

Following this experience, I sought a second opinion at another dental practice. The difference was night and day. The dentist at the second practice conducted a thorough examination, including an X-ray, and immediately referred me for an extraction. They clearly explained the seriousness of my situation and showed genuine concern for my well-being, which contrasted sharply with my initial visit here.

This experience highlighted just how unprofessional and dismissive the care I received at this practice was. A professional dental practice should prioritize thorough examinations, clear communication, and patient care—none of which I experienced here. I would not recommend Dr Handan to anyone seeking competent or compassionate dental care.

While my experience with this particular dentist was extremely disappointing, I want to emphasize that this review reflects my interaction with the individual dentist and not necessarily the entire practice. Other professionals at this practice may provide excellent care, but unfortunately, my visit did not meet the standard I expected.

I had such a great experience at Torrance Dental Care near Finsbury Park Station that I had to share it. I have been a patient at this dental practice for 17 years so that speaks volumes positively. Honestly, I’m someone who gets pretty anxious about going to the dentist but Dr. Egle and Nurse Sandra made me feel so comfortable and cared for from start to finish.
Dr. Egle has this amazing way of calming your nerves - she’s so kind, patient and explains everything in a way that really puts you at ease. Nurse Sandra was just as wonderful. This is the second time I have been under their care. Nurse Sandra was so patient and supportive the whole time. They consistently provide excellent patient care. You can tell they genuinely care about their patients and it makes such a difference.
The calming music in the background was a nice touch too- it really helped me relax. All in all, the checkup was flawless and I left feeling so impressed with the care I received. If you’re looking for a dentist who truly goes above and beyond, I can’t recommend Dr. Egle and Nurse Sandra enough. 5 stars all the way. - C.S
