I have found the L is more a boys size…
I have found the L is more a boys size large, they fit very tight like briefs. Also I wasn't aware that didn't have a FLY for going to the washroom. That I suppose is my mistake. My waist is between 34 -36 which is a standard L for me.

comfortable material but sizing issues
The material seems comfortable but the sizing is not accurate to the model in photo or the sizing chart. The length of the briefs are shorter than depicted and ride up in the middle area quickly and uncomfortably. They also do not even cover my whole butt cheek. I can not wear my order. disappointed overall as the material itself seems very nice but I can't use them
