I must recommend this company. Firstly for helpful advice in purchasing the correct stove for
use and size of rooms then an efficient proficient problem free installation of the log burner stove (replacing and removing a gas fire) . I love it so much .After some time has passed I have contacted them with a query . Gary and Paul came out and sorted everything answered my queries. Can’t praise them enough ! So glad I went with them .Thank you Fire & Stove Company Formby .

I bought a Gazco Gas fire from this company about 4 years ago, after 2 years I had a problem with the ignition and the fire wouldn't light, I contacted The Fire & Stove Company who said they were very busy and it would be several weeks before they could come out - they suggested I contact Gazco direct who would come out and sort the problem. Gazco came out and because I hadn't had the fire serviced after 12 months said i would have to pay for the repair - it cost over £200. Last year I contacted the Fire & Stove Company to come out and do a service - they again said they were very busy and once again suggested I contacted Gazco direct. They suggested I used the firm I bought it from or a plumber who is registered under the Gas Safe scheme - I got our normal plumber to service it at a fraction of the cost. This year the ignition system is faulty again and the fire won't light, i got the plumber round to look at it but he said it needed an expert who fitted Gazco fires to sort the problem out, I contacted The Fire & Stove Company and they said they were very busy and suggested contacting Gazco direct, I said this was ridiculous I had bought the fire from them and Gazco had said the company you bought the fire from should be dealing with these issues, the lady i was speaking to said she would speak to Colin, the manager and would come back to me - she never has. It is clear this company is only interested in selling these fires not maintaining them if there is a problem - if you are thinking about buying one of these fires I would bear that in mind - after sales care is non existant.
I now have another fire company coming out to sort the problem and I didn't even buy the fire from them.

Very happy with the service from this local Formby company.
