FirstAid AMC Courses
The enrolment process requires an extensive amount of personal information. They ask for your AMC Part 1 result, AMC number, a copy of your driving licence or passport, and a personal photo - which, unless you provide a specific reason, may be used in their advertisements. In my view, this is excessive compared to other providers, who generally ask only for essential information relevant to the course. I find this level of data collection to be unnecessarily invasive and potentially risky, particularly if such data were ever exposed in a breach.
The course frequently promotes itself as being run by doctors working in Australia. However, when I checked the AHPRA website, I could not verify the registration of Dr. Arshan or two other listed tutors under their claimed names. This raises questions about the accuracy of the claims being made regarding the teaching team.
Their terms of service are applied very strictly. Even minor breaches can result in your account being permanently blocked, with no refunds, no prior warning, and no room for discussion. I have come across several instances where participants lost access to a course without being able to recover the fees paid.
