Trading as Same Day Property Services

This company was on the ball when I phoned them about five small plumbing repair jobs which I wanted to book in for Monday... Their Receptionist was friendly and polite as she explained that they were fully booked until Thursday (but, unfortunately, I couldn't be available for that day). I have a busy schedule, so instead I agreed to receive an emergency call-out service and didn't regret it.

Michael arrived and was brilliant. He fixed 3 taps; a pedestal basin; and a loo leak for me in approx. two hours... He clearly explained each of the stages of the job, when I asked. He was responsible and did everything he possibly could to fix a second loo leak but would need much more time due to an anomaly with the way it was fixed to the floor. He recommended that this task be booked, anew, at the cheaper rate of a non-urgent call-out. There was no disharmony during Michael's work and I am glad it was he who came to do the plumbing. A written invoice was provided... Payment was made with a phone banking App and Michael left the place respectfully tidy.

This company kept me informed from the first phone call; on top of which, they insure their work for 12 months; and I can recommend them.

If I could give a 0-star review

If I could give a 0-star review, I would. I instructed him to fit a boiler in a rented property, and he made a complete mess of the job. Huge gap left around the flue, flue was fitted upside down. Boiler wasn't fixed to the wall properly causing a gas leak. He removed teh carbon monoxide alarm so this could have caused harm or injury to the tenant. He is not gas safety registered and needs another engineer to sign of his work. The gas cert had lots of remedials on it. I had to get another enginner to come and sort out his poor and dangerous work. Avoid this man at all costs.

Came at the time he said he would

Came at the time he said he would. Very clean worker. Came to fix a dripping tap. The tap needed new parts. He went and sourced them and repaired the tap. Very reasonable rates. Booked him to fit a new shower due to his competency attitude and professionalism. Would definitely recommend him.

Good boiler instillation review

I recently had a boiler installed by First Call Plumbing and Heating Solutions, and I couldn't be happier with the service! They were incredibly efficient and reliable from start to finish. The team was not only professional but also made me feel completely at ease throughout the entire process. Their expertise and attention to detail were amazing, and the whole installation was carried out smoothly. I highly recommend First Call Plumbing and Heating Solutions for anyone looking for top-quality service!

Having recently moved to the area and…

Having recently moved to the area and not knowing any tradesmen i found Scott Jackson and foolishly fell for his facebook advertisment. A massive leason learnt on my part.
I would like to advise anyone thinking of instructing Scott Jackson to think again and look elsewhere. It was my intention to have new boiler followed by a utility room refit with toilet and a completion bathroom refit. Thankfully lesson learnt after boiler replacement.
It is not only my opinion that
this gentleman is foul mouthed and aggressive and a bully, I also have a number of video evidence recordings courtesy of my visible CCTV, of his unprofessional, rude somewhat manic, uncontrollable behaviour in a bullying manner. I have video evidence of his irrationally verbal abuse to me, the customer.
I have video evidence of his work colleague asking him to go and sit in his van to calm down after being questioned about the poor quality finish he produces.
It is my opinion that this gentleman has no regard for customers, property or possessions. The catalogue of error as follows.
Scott dropped the boiler box in the hall way and slid the box along the corridor across a Karndean floor into the kitchen.
Having agreed to install a top of the range most expensive combi boiler he could offer, he then proclaims I asked for a cheap job.
Scott proceeded to damage the trim around a cupboard. It had to be replaced.
He put two holes in a kitchen work top, which he professed to have filled which are still visible. He then pointed out he had to pay £26 for colourfill in an attempt to repair the damage.
He scratched the top of a new month old £450 washing machine.
Having being asked not to place his tools on my brand new hob and washing machine three times, I provided a sheet to cover the washing machine. Scott then proceeded to use a soldering iron on the copper pipes placing the hot soldering iron on the sheet on the washing machine. The soldering iron burnt a hole in both the sheet and the washing machine casing. Scott claimed, "it doesn't matter the washing machine is still functioning and under the counter"!
Scott claimed to open a box with a part of the boiler claiming it was broken, the part had to be changed.
He has to borrow, copper elbow bends and T copper pipe from a colleague as he didn't have any with him.
Scott proceed to add on copper pipe costs claiming he had to re pipe further than estimated?
He then lost a particular flexible pipe and accused his work colleagues of taking it we all searched for an hour for this part. We never found it!
Scott drilled through a brick wall from outside to inside and did not at any time put dust sheets over either my kitchen work top or karndean floor, washing machine or American fridge freezer all within a metre distance.
The brick and dust scatters across the unprotected kitchen, worktop and floor.
Scott did not provide a heat resistant mat to place his soldering iron.
Scott constantly attempted he have the other gas fitter do all the work instead of himself.
Scott stood on a my garden furniture outside in order to drill a hole in the wall for the flue instead of using a ladder or steps.
Scott left the job expecting another gas fitter to complete the work in his absence.
He cut off the upstand around the worktop in a manner that means it could not be reused even after discussing a way to preserve it with his assistant.
On day two of the job, I asked for my key to be returned to me, Scott refused to return my key claiming he was going to come and take boiler out because i suggested he might, "think about a resolution for the damage to the washing machine". He kept the key. This meant I had to have the lock changed to prevent him entering my property without my permission and so that my house was made secure after Scott's threat. I was now afraid, felt bullied and intimidated.
Scott does not have the authority to sign off his own work as boiler fitting and pays an alternative gas fitter to sign off and complete to say the boiler is safe.
I would not recommend Scott Jackson and suggest you look elsewhere.
Please do not believe everything you read on face book about how good this guy is be more vigilant than I was.
