I had booked our trip for a 7:45am departure time from our school to the North Shore Music Theater in Beverly MA (for a 10:00am show), and the buses didn’t show up until 8:30am and 8:40am. (It’s 45min - 1 hour away to the venue from our school). That’s an hour later than the booking time. Our Administrators were upset that we weren’t notified of the delayed departure time. I was told the return bus trip back was fine - it was just the morning departure trip that was the issue.

A month before our wedding, our original shuttle plans fell through and I was desperate to find a replacement option. First Charter got a REASONABLE quote back to me and answered all of my questions - we had our confirmation of service within the week! The bus was right on time and our guests were happy and grateful to have a safe ride to and from our venue - thank you First Charter for putting this anxious bride at ease! This bus charter was for the purpose of providing a shuttle for my wedding guests from our hotel to our wedding venue before our ceremony, and back at the end of the reception. The ceremony start time was 4pm and I booked the bus for 3:30. The trip should have been ~15 minutes but the bus driver took my guests to the completely wrong town. The correct address was listed in our trip confirmation so this was solely due to the bus driver’s lack of attention to detail. Because of this error my wedding ceremony was delayed by almost 30 minutes, causing an inconvenience to my wedding guests, and because we began to lose the light we missed out on the opportunity for additional post-ceremony outdoor photos. We also had to pay our photographer and videographer on for an hour of overtime each since the whole wedding had to be shifted because of the delay. This was a serious hitch in a very significant and expensive day and I wouldn’t recommend using this service.

We hired First Charter for transportation to and from our wedding, which is a total of 7 miles, about 10-13 minutes of drive time. The bridal party, parents of the bride/groom and the bride were supposed to have arrived at 3:45pm at the venue, but instead were taken an alternate route for 'scenery purposes' and arrived at about 4pm. Then, the bus needed to return to the hotel to pick up more guests (very important members of family), ultimately delaying the start time of the wedding until 5pm, which was a half hour later than originally coordinated. This delay shifted the rest of the ceremony/formal picture taking/reception/etc. Many guests informed the bride and groom of sitting at the ceremony place for upwards of 45 minutes.

Thankfully the driver was receptive to our suggestions of taking a quicker route from the hotel to the venue and apologized for the mistake, which we are grateful for. But, the delay in arrivals for our guests caused the venue hall to scramble and push back many aspects of their plans.

Best thing we did for our wedding guests to travel to and from our son’s wedding! The bus driver, Pam, was amazing and and nice.She did a recon of our address before to ensure she would be on time. Pam was a safe driver and we trusted her completely. The bus was clean and comfortable!
