Firstonsite driver attempted to cause accident

A firstonsite.com truck decided I wasn't allowed to pass it and swerved into the middle of both lanes and slammed on its brakes. They are firstonsite because they cause the damage apparently. Violent and angry employees, will attempt to put you in physical danger.

Absolutely terrible company

Absolutely terrible company to deal with.

Our insurance company sent them when our tree fell on our fence. The project Manager Andrew Beaulac is clearly very inexperienced unable to communicate professionally. He quoted our fence replacement and we had questioned how low the quote was compared to the other quotes we received privately. He assured us that the quote included everything and nothing was missed.

Now almost two months after we've agreed to go with them, they've collected our deposit and no work has been done and they kept telling us an end of august/September start date. We then started to get 3rd party fencing companies randomly calling or showing up to our house saying First Onsite sent them. Nothing ever materialized from these other contractors. We then receive an update quote from them that is almost 2000$ more than the original quote due to our neighbor's patio and stairs being in such close proximity to the fence.

We discuss them completing the work and if the neighbor's property gets damaged during the fence replacement, they need to make sure it gets repaired. Which seemed to be reasonable. At this point they reply and say they are no longer able to do the work and back out.

Now they've had our deposit for 6 plus weeks and keep telling us it's "in the mail" after delaying processing our reimbursement for over a week. The "national account manager" Rachel Weagant has been dismissive and clearly doesn't care about the situation.

Our insurance is appalled with how the situation has been handled and me and my wife are exhausted dealing with this company.

So now, the end of summer, back to square one. We're missing 2000$. We don't have a safe yard for our kids or our dog and we need to find an alternative fencing company.

Give us our money back!

Do not hire!

A fellow named Andrew came out to assess flood damage. Insurance company originally denied our claim because Andrew's report was incomplete. We called Insurance Co., explained correctly what happened & received approval shortly after.
Interesting, one of the first questions Andrew asked is if we had a contractor or would we be using his company. I was fine with his company if they expedited the repairs. Upon approval, they sent a couple workers to dry out the area but when they left I found they caused more water damage! The staff became unfriendly & I often found them wandering around my property. The kicker came when they told me it would be six to eight weeks to replace about 500 sq. ft. of vinyl flooring. Found another contractor the next day.
First Onsite...you're Fired!

Fire remediation: a perfect setup for "lost" items.

We had an asbestos related fire and they threw out 90% of the contents. They also "lost" my mother's sterling silver and other items I had inherited from my mom. I expected to find them when we emptied the storage bin, which was 5 months after they had been in the house. When I did not find these things, I suspected they had been taken by the contents staff. They threw a silver piece from Argentina, but label them as metal. I doubt if they were thrown out at all. If you have a fire and a remediation company come to work for you, install cameras and remove your valuable and important mementos.

If I could give zero stars, we would.

If I could give zero stars, I would.
Useless company. Unorganized, terrible quality of work, incredibly rude, dishonest staff.
Delays and delays and delays and their excuses are complete fabrications. No idea how this company is actually in business.

Approved claim but No inspection No Repair

Barrie received massive snow and many homes had snow ice damage Feb 18th. My home has 20 yr shingles that are 7 years old. Never had an issue. Eavestroughs cleaned and balcony railing area re caulked Oct 2024. The home is in pristine condition inside and out.
TD Claim approved to remove damaged material, repair and restore the area that leaked. Told it's my job to remove snow and ice which I paid to have done immediately. Drywall and insulation removed by First On Site after 6 days, no inspection no repair. No repair from Feb 19th to March 29th because they are 'backed up.'
Freezing rain occurs in Barrie, thousands affected, it is another extreme incident and again, it leaks exactly the same, in the identical location (see photos) but more serious damage. Because no inspection or repair completed to prevent recurrence.
This is a copy and paste of First on Site's response to my numerous pleas to complete the work and clean up the damage they caused by their delay:

"So if anything goes wrong with your house insurance is suppose to just fix it all ? It called home ownership and home maintenance, if insurance covered anything that went wrong with a house, insurance premiums would be so high".

This is the response, not an apology, not a quick response to complete their work and mitigate the damage. No, despite TD stating the estimate was for REPAIRS none were done. Requested multiple times to please do the work, finish the work, I get a blatant refusal. Exact leak, exact location, no inspection, no repair. Then this ludicrous statement. Unethical and dangerous behaviour is what I received. Your home is at risk using this company. It will be in an unstable, incomplete, vulnerable state for as long as they please. TD insurance states they are under no obligation to adhere to reasonable timelines. First on Site says it's the homeowners job to mitigate the risk incurred by no inspection no repair and no renovation on their part.
See photos of the two weather emergency incidents Feb 19th crack from Extreme snow in Barrie and relatively small leak. April 3rd after Extreme Freezing Rain bulging water in plastic in the exact same location and the home remains in this condition. The hardwood floors are not dried out, the attic never inspected but closed in with plastic and likely getting mouldy by the day. After endless begging to do their job the third photo shows the condition they left it in and the work has never been finished. This is following the approved TD claim for repair, removal & restoration as of April 9th 2025.
