A fun, well-organised and informative event!

I’m pleased to share my feedback on the First Point USA Football Trials that my son, Albert, attended on 10 April 2026.

The session began with a well-structured and informative presentation, which clearly outlined the process and expectations. It was helpful for both players and parents, setting a positive tone for the day.

The practical aspect of the trial was equally impressive. The warm-up and testing sessions were engaging and professionally delivered, allowing players to demonstrate their physical abilities effectively. The position-specific drills were particularly useful, giving participants the chance to showcase their skills in their preferred roles.

The small-sided games were enjoyable and competitive. Albert appreciated the opportunity to play alongside older participants (19+), as it provided valuable exposure and experience against more mature players. However, it would be beneficial to consider organising a separate session specifically for U16 players. At times, it felt like the older players naturally gravitated towards passing among themselves, which limited involvement for the younger participants.

Overall, the trials were well-organised and provided a great experience. With slight adjustments to age grouping, it could be even more inclusive and impactful for younger players. Thank you to the team for a positive and memorable event.

Great trial - well run and coached!

The coaching was great with a good flow of drills into a match at the end of the session.

Very informative day , made welcome and hosted in great facilities , the trials was held by a ex pro and worth the journey for that experience alone

Very fun, and a fantastic experience to what playing at a higher level feels like.
The trial was well organised and competitive. I played as a wide midfielder where I showed good pace, made runs in behind, and created chances with crosses. I also tracked back to help defensively and maintained a high work rate throughout. I feel I could improve my decision-making in the final third and be more vocal on the pitch. Overall, it was a great experience and I believe I showed my ability and potential.

Great experience, coaches where brilliant to work with too and very professional

The coaches leading made sure us as girls were included and involved and the session covered various skills and made is apply them in certain ways. I feel i improved some of my rugby skills and improved me as a player

People were helpful friendly and talkative training was good and interactive

The event was late starting. I think if you are going to run drills with both boys and girls, the boys need to be told beforehand to be polite to the girls and I suppose vice versa.
The girls were subjected to snide comments from the boys, which of course is not FirstPoint’s fault but I feel you should be aware

arena was great clean and comfortable and instructions were set out clear

I loved the technical side of the training but I feel like there needed to be contact training. Overall a good session though

good coaches were very good very interactive and was a good experience would recommend it

Pretty decent trial compared to all the others I’ve done only thing to improve on is more game time as when it came to games it felt rushed and inconsistent with the amount of time played from player to player

It was great throughout the session they did great coaching and helping me and the others to archive something they were very kind as well throughout the session some kids are not well some might be injured or old injury and there understanding is great to let them take breaks whenever they need it and I learned something from that experience and Yh it was brilliant
