Good friendly gym with lots to offer! Staff are so helpful and nothings to much, swimming pool is lovely and clean and never packed I would recommend this gym

Great and clear facility.
The only problems are the internet and Wi-Fi. It is not working correctly most of the time.

Signed up to a 12-month commitment in October last year. A short while later they closed a neighbouring branch and rerouted all those members to our gym making it too crowded and unusable. I was told I could upgrade to a different gym if I wanted. In January I went down to their flagship Baker Street gym and "upgraded" to it.
No one has ever mentioned that my contract would then be restarted.
Now its October and as far as I was concerned 12 months have elapsed and I requested cancellation. Now all of a sudden I am being told that I have large exit fees to pay.
The customer service takes over 10 days to get back to you, no live chat, and no phone line to call.

Edit: they responded to this review saying something is being dealt with but in the actual email communication they still reiterated that they are not responsible for the in-gym personal trainers lying to me and they will not be resolving anything

Would not recommend! When joining I was told if my circumstances were to change I could end my contract early, upon this happening I would told this would not be accepted and they only way they would accept it is if I changed address. A change of working location does not matter! Very poor!

Avoid at all cost!!!!
HQ decided to close my local branch on weekends 2 weeks into my 6 month contract and they refuse to allow me to cancel the contract! What a waste of money and horrendous customer service!!!

Brighton - Great equipment when it’s not broken the care of the gym needs attention as there has been leaks all over the place for years. There’s mirrors missing which isn’t a pretty sight. There’s been a bike broken for the last year that’s never been fixed too.

Yes, I want to write a review about a Queenspark Fitness First instructor… Shan is so much more than just a spin instructor. Her energy, the songs she chooses, her choreography, and the harmony of her movements with the rhythm are perfect. Plus, Shan has such a huge, beautiful energy that I’m a huge fan of hers. Having participated in BodyPump and RPM instructor programs in the past, I can clearly see the difference Shan has from the others. I’ve also attended various group classes as a student in many different countries, and I’ve never met an instructor as perfect as Shan. This woman is a legend! “I thank Fitness First for giving me the opportunity to get to know Shan🙏🏼❤️

I had to go into the Brixton branch 3 times before being able to sign up for their membership because of "technical difficulties". I was told on my second visit that my initial payment didn't go through and that my membership wasn't valid. Wouldn't recommend

Great staff team in Brighton. Equipment is pretty broad and good. However, not having any of the permanent big black exercise/stretching mats is a downer. Being offered the small skinny ones is like being handed a face towel as you come out of the bath..

I visited FF Twickenham on Sat 12th Oct, and was greeted by Fatima. She was absolutely lovely, gracious and sorted out my member card issue swiftly. An absolute credit to the organisation, thanks Fatima.

I booked a pilates class at 7.30 on a Monday morning. Believe me when i say, NOBODY wants to leave their house in the dark rain at 6.30 to go to a class in the city to find that the instructor is 20 minutes late. 2 people had to leave, and one person left mid way. The instructor was not apologetic.

The Gym is Very Clean, Members and staff respect the gym floor and other areas and a good range of equipment, classes and recovery areas

Fitness first gave me the best gym vibes in London. Compared to other gyms on the same price tier, it has a balance of a premium gym yet a quiet and friendly one to everyone. I don't like the fact that it's not open 24 hours, although I'm quite grateful for that because it pushed me to train in the morning, which I loved very much. Another aspect that I don't like is the relatively small machine room. I know that the room size is average compared to other gyms in London, but for £72/month for a nine month commitment, I kind of expected something more, especially since it gets quite busy over the weekend because the gym closes at 6pm on Saturday/Sunday.

Well I’ve seen it all SO TODAY ok before I start it was raining outside A WOMAN COMES INTO THE SPA SAUNA with an OPEN UMBRELLA stating oh I want to dry my umbrellas ☔️ mhmmm ME TINKS 🤨is the umbrella not WATERPROOF 🥹well could only happen at BRIXTON FITNESS MHMMMM ME TINKS LAST as I’ve never in a life time seen this ☔️

Awful customer service, not helpful in the slightest and really couldn’t care less about personal circumstances of their members.

The gym and the staff within the gym are lovely though and always had a pleasant experience.

Shame that Fitness First view their members purely as monetary gain though, would be nice if they showed a little compassion.

Friendly, efficient and informative.

We strongly recommend Fitness First on Bedford Street. We come back and forth in the area and so needed a flexible membership. We had a few unexpected returns, and really wanted to exercise. The managers have been extremely understanding and helpful in making this work. When we were recently in town unexpectedly for just a few days they let us work out without unfreezing our membership.

BRIXTON FITNESS FURST you will either love it or not . The equipment is DATED but what it makes up for is the FRIENDLINESS Of staff especially in the morning always willing to chat smile giggle share stories 🙃yoga classes are Fab won’t name names but they know who they are unlike third space et al which is on my door step and FITNESS LAST yeap Clapham junction mhmm NO WORDS PRETTINESS ISNT ALEAYS THE BEST but members I hav also got to know BIG TICK FROM ME and sending SPARKLES OF HAPPINESS for all at BRIXTON ✨✨✨✨catch them and PUT THE SPARKLES IN UR POCKET

I recommend Fitness First in Baker Street.
The Shred class with the trainer Amina and the Hyrox class with Kimberly are fantastic!

Friendly club and great staff but really needs some tlc, both in terms of cleanliness and some paint and general upkeep to the changing rooms and pool, sauna and steam room. Much of this is pretty run down now.
