I have Been looking for a way to restructure my debt. I received an offer and called and spoke to Tanisha about it. She was very professional, courteous and helpful. After awhile I decided to enroll. Five Lakes has gone above and beyond their call of duty. The way they are reducing my amount to of debt is incredible. Then, I had this company that kept hounding me with other debt, I called Fobe Lakes and they were able to add that debt onto my pot of debts owed for 1/3 of what o was paying the company. Avoid them at all cost. They charge 27% fee on each enrolled debt. They don't disclose that in the beginning but only in small letters. I got sued by discover. I rejected 3 offers that five lakes presented. I don't think they were negotiating. My debt was $9500k and they wanted me to pay 8k in 8 months. I said it was ridiculous. They scare you with saying that if you don't take the offer then court l, judgment and garnishment. Bla bla bla. Of course they wanted their $2400 dollar fee. So in reality I would have paid a total of 10k. Absurd. I went to court and represented myself. Settled for $7300 in 38 MONTHS. Thank you. $200 a month. As opposed to the BS five lakes wanted me to do of $1200 a month. These people are simply running business based on your incapacity to make payments and fear. Avoid them and save money.

I am being sued by one of my creditors…
I am being sued by one of my creditors that I informed them of pending lawsuit. Now I am being pushed for full payment which I do not have and running risk of wage garnishment. This was reason for my signing up for protection from this. My counter offer is reasonable and any court would agree my willingness to make payments over my budget would be acceptable.

The sooner you start....
Clear explanations and instructions, polite and knowledgeable staff, prompt replies. It's not a " get rid of debt" program so much as " pay off debt quicker with negotiated reduced balances." For the first time in months I'm not scrambling to juggle payments.

Great Debt Settlement Law Group
This is great law group to handle debt settlement. While the fees and resolution offers end up only saving a small amount over the course of the program, I cannot stress enough how much peace of mind this program provides, on top of allowing someone to still live their lives and afford the essentials needed to get by. Sure, some might say it’s not worth it because of the fees but, I disagree because I remember my life was much more stressful before entering the program and I was headed into an outcome much worse than debt settlement.
