While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

To protect platform integrity, every review on our platform—verified or not—is screened by our 24/7 automated software. This technology is designed to identify and remove content that breaches our guidelines, including reviews that are not based on a genuine experience. FixAdvance is a structured payment coordination platform built for service contractors and their customers. We help contractors get paid faster and more reliably while giving customers protection against incomplete or disputed work. The platform handles three things that traditional contractor-customer payments don't: structured deposits before work begins, milestone payments at clear job stages, and dispute resolution based on documented scope of work. Each job runs through three payment milestones — job reservation (when the customer schedules), work started (when the contractor arrives), and job complete (when the work is finished). Funds are coordinated through Stripe Connect, and final payments are held briefly to allow customers to flag any issues before money moves. FixAdvance is NOT a cash advance, lending, or merchant funding product. We don't loan money to contractors or customers. We coordinate payments that customers already plan to make for work they've contracted, with structure that protects both sides. What makes us different from generic payment processors is the dispute resolution layer. When a customer claims work wasn't completed, they must point to specific items in the documented scope and provide evidence. Vague complaints don't qualify for review. This holds customers accountable for honest disputes while protecting contractors who completed the agreed work. FixAdvance currently serves glass and glazing contractors in Northern Virginia, with plans to expand to additional trades and regions. The platform is free for contractors — no monthly fees, no setup costs. Customers pay a small platform fee per job for the protection both parties receive.

Great concept

As a single mom, dealing with a big broken window was stressful enough, and I’d never had to go through the repair process before. I was worried about finding someone I could trust, handling payments, and what would happen if anything went wrong.
I found this platform through an online ad and figured I’d give it a shot. The setup was way easier than I expected. I didn’t have to create an account or deal with a bunch of complicated steps. I just sent the contractor an invitation link, and they got set up pretty quickly.
Once I paid the deposit, the platform took care of coordinating the payments, which made the whole thing a lot less stressful. What I liked most was the 48-hour review period after the work was finished. It was reassuring to know I had time to check everything over and report any issues if needed.
The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that not every contractor is willing to use the platform yet since it’s still fairly new and not very well known. As more contractors hear about it and start using it, I think that’ll get better.
Overall, it made a stressful home repair a lot easier to handle, and I’d love to see them expand into more home service categories in the future.
