autofix have been really accommodating to work with, arranging a courtesy car and dropping/collecting my vehicle at the same time. it has now been returned by Jason who was really friendly & happy to help. The car is in immaculate condition all repaired and cleaned!

Jason who dropped off my car was brilliant and so was my repair, however the communication from Fix was really poor, was given a date when my car would be ready, 2 weeks later i phoned up and was told that they hadn't even started as they were still awaiting insurance company authorization, I got on the phone and was sorted within that call, I then was told I would have to wait another 2 weeks to get my car back! And you can guess i had to phone them to see if car was ready, someone really needs to sort out customer service!! Apparently they keep you updated every 48 hours!

Initially my job was an insurance claim and the engineer / assessors advised that they would need to respray and repair a front bumper scratch. When I collected the car I inspected it and could see this work had not been performed. I challenged the company and and engineer can to me and explained that they felt they could avoid the full respray and polish out the damage.
Whilst the outcome was satisfactory I am disappointed I was not informed of the change to the repair and asked about my preference for works.
There were also white marks left on the black trim which I pointed out upon inspection. Twice they took the car back in to the workshop to try and remove these. I would have expected the car to be fully inspected prior to handover. This meant a simple car collection took 1 hour.

The worst part was that the business charged me my £350 excess payment despite the total cost of works being £168.

It was only through my tenacity to challenge them on this and over a week later here they acknowledged that they charged me over 100% more than the actual works cost.

2 members of staff I spoke to seemed to try and brush it off and make out that it wasn’t their fault and it took a phone call with a manager for me to have to explain to him why it was in deed their fault and not the insurance company whom they were trying to lay blame on.

As I pointed out; when I collected my car Fix Auto had their estimate of the actual cost which was £168. They should’ve discussed this with me and explained that because the works needed in the end were minor that it was no longer going to be an insurance job and instead a retail job.

I received no paper work, invoice for works etc. I requested this yesterday afternoon and the manager still hasn’t emailed this across to me.

It is simply unacceptable that this company can charge a customer 100% more than the work they have carried out and not do anything about it proactively and deny it is their fault.

Avoid. Whilst their repair work may be acceptable their service, culture and approach to business is abhorrent. There is no integrity or ownership of their shortcomings hence why it took 3 phone calls to eventually get someone to accept their errors

Very happy with the work done and the provision of a courtesy car. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The courtesy car was delivered to my house and Fix Auto were very understanding when I had to delay its return for a day.

I recently had my Transit van repaired at Fix Auto Basingstoke and honestly couldn’t be happier with the service.

I dealt with Stuart throughout the process, and he was professional, helpful, and kept me updated from start to finish. My van needed a new sliding door fitted, along with repairs to damaged wiring affecting the rear parking sensors and other electrical issues.

The team arranged everything quickly and carried out the repairs to a flawless standard. The finish is amazing, and the van looks and works like new again.

Excellent customer service, great communication, and outstanding workmanship. Highly recommended!

Fix Auto was the garage our insurance company used when someone reversed into my wife's car. Work was OK....some lacquer over-spray to be sorted. We did have problem with courtesy car as delivered late afternoon but showed low tyre pressure with half mile of us using it next day. Topped up air but same happened 3 days later. Fix Auto not interested and said we were to fix it. Had tyre repaired and saw the screw found was "so worn it had obviously been there a long time". Told Fix Auto what tyre garage had said and that they had handed us a car with a slow puncture and made us pay to fix it. 3 messages went to "management" but they were not interested. This attitude speaks volumes about the nature of this company. Be warned.
Note: After response below I called them and still "management" didn't bother to call back....

From the minute my car was dropped off to the moment it was collected, the service has truly been second to none. Chloe was incredibly helpful and personable when booking my car in, making the whole process smooth and reassuring.
Di, your calm and experienced approach was outstanding. You took the time to talk me through the repair process and even showed me how to use the hire car, which was greatly appreciated.
The standard of the repair itself is fantastic — the workmanship and attention to detail in restoring my car is extremely impressive. It is clear that the mechanic takes great pride in their work, and this is reflected across the whole team. Even the finishing touches, such as polishing and cleaning the car ready for collection, did not go unnoticed.

Customer service is very good. Prompt responses with patience.

I’ve tried calling multiple times over the past month, and every time I’m given the same response: “our body shop manager will contact you ASAP.” Unfortunately, no one has followed up.
In addition, I’ve sent numerous emails to Claire, Tracey, and Megan, but I haven’t received any meaningful response.
It has now been over three months, and my car still hasn’t been properly repaired. The quality of work is extremely disappointing. Not only was the original issue not fixed, but my car door lock was damaged during the process and still hasn’t been repaired.
Considering you charge rates comparable to a manufacturer, the level of service and workmanship is unacceptable. I strongly suggest improving communication and hiring a more competent team that can handle repairs professionally and efficiently.
