Flagstone helped us navigate a very complex arrangement that involved a lease extension. Not only did they secure us a really good deal, but they lead the discussions with the bank around timing of the lease to match the lease extension. Our solicitors were incapable of adding value sadly, but Flagstone really came through for us. Highly recommended!
Flagstone were recommended by the estate agent I was using for a property purchase (as they had a partnership with them). Initially, the mortgage advisor was helpful in the introduction call and I therefore went ahead with their recommendation for a mortgage. However, once I had signed up, the service provided changed to a very substandard level. There were no updates on the application and I had to chase everyday to get them to check with the mortgage provider. My responses to the mortgage queries were not passed back to the provider and this caused several days of delay.
I also feel like the admin team do not even look at, or review what they are sending back and forth between the client and mortgage provider. I have had requests which are completely not relevant to my case or for documents I had already provided.
I also do not believe they have the expertise to find the right mortgage for your needs. I asked them to find another mortgage for another property and they recommended a provider with really high rates. I therefore went to another provider and they helped me apply and obtain a much much better offer within 8 days.
I would avoid using this company unless you want the frustration of having to chase up the application yourself.
