Don't give up!!

Just a quick update on the saga of my Panama Hat experience with Flameday. I have received a full refund! (not including P&P)
Initially they refused to provide any refund as they could not accept returns 'due to covid'. I argued that covid was not a valid reason and asked for an address to return the hat. They offered a 50% refund which I declined. They then offered a 70% refund saying this was the best they could do 'in the circumstances'. I asked 'what circumstances??' and asked again for a return address. I then received a notice from Shopify that a full refund had been processed. No P&P refund...but the money has arrived.
DON'T GIVE UP!!

I ordered these apparent posture correcting trainers, they do not feel like that, I'd say they are total rubbish, and a waste of money, I will be contacting my credit card company for a full refund, I am extremely disappointed in this company, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Do not be fooled by these scammers!

Ordered an “Authentic quality Classic Adjustable Panama Hat, handcrafted in Ecuador”.
Received a poor quality hat, labelled “Made in China, 100% paper”.
The hat arrived so crushed as to be unwearable, even if it had been adjustable and if I didn’t mind putting such a shoddy piece of cr*p on my head.
Despite offering a 30 day money back guarantee, the vendor refused to accept a return, instead offering only a 50% refund. Fortunately I paid with PayPay, so I am hopeful of getting my money back in due course.

Now monitor your cc activities

Let me be clear - my experience was not with flameday. Here is what happened, not with Panama hats or trainers, but there are similar deals out there on age-defying creams (made of what?) but the worst thing is that somewhere out there, in the supply chain, through no fault of the retailer, someone now has your credit card details. You will get a very small charge for $1 or $2, when they test the card’s validity, and then the tsunami. Mine got hit with $3,000 every 30 seconds, even while I was on the phone to my bank’s fraud department! It was up to $15,000 within a few minutes. Be very vigilant from now on.

Received this hat in a plastic bag that would double as pancake container. The way this hat was advertised was very clever, no wonder we fell for the sales pitch. Mabe we should remember that if sounds to good to be true then maybe it is.

total rubbish, don't believe a word, it's crap

Exactly the same as everyone else. Advertising is utterly misleading. Bought a panama hat, arrived appallingly packet in a plastic bag, crushed beyond belief and not recovering after nearly 2 weeks. Made of paper not straw, made in China not Ecuador, not adjustable, weighs under half of what they claim. Everything is a lie. Avoid

If you buy anything from this company

If you buy anything from this company, you will be buying cheap market tut. I ordered trainers which had been advertised with really convincing marketing, foot supporting, memory foam, ultra comfortable etc. However were so badly made, they were a joke. The shoe was far too short for the foot sizing and the tongue was so long it came an inch up my leg. The edges were not stitched but badly cut with with scissors.
The company also tried to charge me twice for delivery. The delivery took 3 weeks.
I have contacted the company but have yet to receive a reply.

A similar experience to others but persevered for a refund!

A similar experience to others. I did not expect a genuine, hand-made Panama hat, but nor did I expect a shoddy paper hat, irreparably flattened.
The supplier has offered a 50% refund but on principle I have escalated my complaint through PayPal, while doubting I’ll get anything at all as a result.
PayPal must have seen enough complaints to consider cancelling their arrangement with this dishonest seller. Facebook next!
Further to this, I persevered (easy and quick via PayPal's Resolution service) so advanced to an offer of 75% and finally got a refund of 100% from them. I guess the weight of PayPal did the trick, but I hope PayPal will stop dealing with them in future.

Panama hat scams

I only wish I had read these reviews before buying. So-called handwoven in Ecuador by master weavers, and also a genuine Panama. It is in fact 100% paper and made in China. Terrible quality, with no robustness and no way of styling. Comes packaged in such a way that it is crushed. Judging by the other comments on this site, there is zero possibility of getting a satisfactory answer from these rogues.
In the last few days the adverts are appearing under 5 different comany names: Blackfridaylifes, Alcartoonly, Flupacetter, Suneveryday and Housemall. No doubt these will evolve into even more names, As they appear on Facebook, one would have thought their algorithms could stop them.

Disgusting customer service, bad products

Ordered canvas trainers from this company was billed by PayPal under Sandetic inc. This company doesn't seem to exist. Can't get any reply to my emails sent through PayPal, so as I hadn't received my order raised a claim in PayPal resolution centre. My claim was refused as seller had given them tracking information, when I saw it I realised they'd delivered to the wrong address. Then when I finally got my order the trainers are just plimsoles, no support whatsoever. Worth about a fiver. And they are too small. Can't get a returns address or anything so I've been scammed out of money and PayPal did nothing to help. Disgusted!

These people are simple thieves, shame on them and especially PayPal. They represent greed and every negative about shopping online through the internet.
