Received my Duke Office Chair. A long wait but you can’t rush art. It is exquisite. Comfortable and superbly made.

There was a very minor blemish or missed stain under a folded seam but a quick email to F&H and a touch up kit was dispatched via a FedEx priority to my home in California and I’ll be fixing it this weekend.

The process from start to finish was a pleasure and I will buy another piece for sure at some point in the future. Planning on a factory visit when I’m back in England as they’re about 30 mins from our home in Yorkshire.

We were attracted to the tufted style of couches and chairs. We were unable to find what we wanted locally and kept circling back to F&H as they had exactly what we wanted. We were nervous about ordering from so far away but after some research and a full read and re-read through F&H's terms and service guarantees, we decided to take the chance. It took 7 months from order to delivery but F&H answered, promptly, every one of my emails regarding our order status during that time. We have had them for a week now and couldn't be happier with our purchase. They are beautiful, comfortable and very solid. They are so nice, in fact, that one of our friends has just put an order in with F&H on his own set.

Our new sofa is beautifully made, even if we had to wait 5 months for it.... we were in no hurry thankfully.
Delivery was a bit haphazard, not knowing when it would turn up, but again we were flexible so it didn't really matter too much.
Seat cushion is a bit overstuffed but we're told that will settle with wear and use.
Overall a beautiful piece of furniture.

Good product, as expected, delivered on time

I always had a Chesterfield sofa on my bucket list and found Fleming Howland on line. Being a company overseas, I checked with some friends in London who confirmed that it was in fact a legit and long established company. Despite some unavoidable delays, the customer service reps were very helpful and responsive to any and all questions. Any delay was quickly brought to my attention. Delivery was very seamless with the movers called on a regular basis to update actual delivery times. AND, the movers were so accommodating placing the pieces just where I wanted. Finally, the price: Compared to online companies showing the same sofa and loveseat (used) the price from FH was within $200 dollars NEW. The pieces are just what I expected and always wanted. I'm just sorry I don't have more rooms that need furniture.

The quality of the furniture and customer service has been great. I wish there wasn't a scar in the furniture in the front, as it is larger in size, however I do understand their is a disclaimer regarding the natural blemishes. I contacted the company and they stuck to this, but offered to help aid in how to keep the piece in good condition. With a family who sold furniture for 30 years and has been in the wood finishing business for 60 years, my family reassured me this was normal. I gave 4 stars because I hoped they would position the scar in a less noticeable area. That may be totally unpractical as I'm looking at it from a consumer aspect, but it if was located on the back of the sofa compared to the front that would have been more ideal. Overall, people think the sofa is cool and it is exactly what I wanted. So to be fair, I do really enjoy the piece and it is quite comfortable.

The quality is generally excellent...but there are some issues. 1) Over 9 months to delivery but Covid no doubt caused delays - we refused to give more than 20% in deposit, which was accepted. 2) Supposedly one can customise a bit - we did not want casters but feet changed to give same height - that was OK, but we also wanted the seat padding raised a bit, it was agreed but not actioned. 3) There is a large area of leather on one side which is a bit dull in comparison to nearby. I can accept that there may be slight changes of colour and texture, but clearly the uphosterer did not try to cut the leather to minimise these and/or put them in less obvious places. Responses to queries were prompt, if not always what one wanted to hear. We also felt that the photo of our chair had been Photoshopped to give a smoother look, eliminating folds on corners, which are usually inevitable (my wife has done much furniture restoration and upholstery). Some of the comments on Trustpilot regarding after-sales service are worrying. We have had our chair for nearly 4 months without any issues, so cannot comment on that - fingers crossed, particularly as we are in France. Given the price, they could try a bit harder. But we are quite pleased overall.

Pleasant friendly and informative service. Received regular updates. Thrilled with the final result of out beautiful black 2 seater chesterfield couch and wing backed armchair. I will be ordering another wing back chair at a later date. Thanks to all concerned 😀

I've pined after a Fleming & Howland sofa for about 15 years, since my teenage self happened upon their catalogue. Having just taken delivery of my "this is the sign I've made it" sofa, I'm ecstatic. It's big, it's bold, it's timeless, it's British... and I have every confidence it will last a lifetime. A thing of beauty indeed. I went over it with a fine toothcomb and the leather is just beautiful, the detailing is pefection. Yes, it's pricey, but you can spend the same amount on some MDF framed junk from a trendy brand that will date immediately, and wear out shortly after... Yes, it will be a pain in the bum to cart around from house to house over the next 50 years, but I'm looking forward to growing old with this thing! Thank you F&H, I absolutely love my sofa.

Fabulous hand-made quality which is well worth the price. It’s beauty stands out and will stand the rest of time. It’s become the centrepiece of my sitting room.

Fleming and Howland do not honor their guarantee of comfort. I purchased 2 couches and a chair. I did not like and cannot use the filling in the cushions and have been promised that the fillings would be replaced no charge. I offered to pay for the fillings and return the filling I don’t like and cannot use. This has been going on since mid June and it’s almost October and sill no fillings. I’ve only gotten empty promises and told to be patient.

Well worth the wait, perfectly made, great quality, have purchased before and will purchase again.

Beautiful top-quality bespoke sofas! It is always a leap of faith to purchase top-end furniture sight unseen and feel unfelt, but Fleming & Howland's work exceeded our expectations. Buttery rich leather, gorgeous finish, extreme comfort, and top-notch quality. Communication was also brilliant, as was the entire service experience. Will definitely be back to purchase more pieces. Bravo!
