Avoid "Flowers by Nora"
Without wasting a lot of words and time, assume that this is the worst possible review that I can give any business establishment. Ever…. Avoid "Flowers by Nora" (flowersbynora.com) in attempting to send flowers to an area you do not exactly know.
This company stated online that they were located in the delivery area so I started an order. The website said “Same day fresh flower delivery in Los Alamitos (CA). Family Owned and Operated local florist.” Near the end of the order process, I asked their location and they told me on the phone that they were located in Montebello, CA about 30 minutes from my delivery location. I still don't know where the person was. But at that point since I needed to hurry, I placed the order. That was a mistake. I shouldn’t have.
They are not a traditional local franchise or chain, but rather a "call center" or "broker" website that mimics a local, independent florist. Upon receiving an order, they typically pass it to a real local florist while keeping a significant percentage of the payment, which for me resulted a lower-quality product than what I ordered. Mine was not professionally designed, just flowers stuck in a cheap glass jar. They would not refund my money, nor even redeliver a real professional arrangement to my party using mixed blooms in inventory. Rather they took $20.00 off my charge, sending me scripted regret responses to my emails, and that was done even before the charge was posted to Amex, as if that’s their MO at first sign of a complaint. This negative review will add to the other overwhelmingly negative complaints on platforms like the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and Yelp. Please read some before you order.
So, if you are looking for a local florist, you should verify the physical address of the shop in the specific town to ensure it is not a call center directing orders from a different location. Please note that there is apparently a legitimate local Flowers by Nora in PA.
I wish I would have read these reviews…
I wish I would have read these reviews before ordering. Reading others, I'm lucky at least something was delivered and on time, therefore the 2 stars. However I ordered the large and got the small. Customer service site only offers Chat which doesn't work. Buyer beware.
WORST EVER!! Just do not use them
Just do not use them. I ordered an arrangement to be delivered for a funeral on Friday and even paid extra for expedited delivery and A WEEK LATER the flowers still have not been delivered. I've called at least 4 times, spoke with a supervisor who assured me the arrangement would be delivered this past Weds- that he would personally reach out to the florist- but still no flowers!!! I ordered a plant for a friend hosting a party this past weekend. It was supposed to be delivered on Sat, it finally was delivered on Monday.
Florists.com is the WORST, do not use them. I can't understand how they can conduct business this way.
Terrible is the best I could say
Terrible is the best I could say. The picture of what we ordered for our holiday party centerpieces looked NOTHING like what we received. We even paid extra for the large size and we received 1/2 the amount of flowers. Mostly green leaves and none of the pinecones that the picture of what we ordered had. I wish I could post pictures to show you. Even the bow was thin and droopy, just like the flowers. Do not order from them.
If I could give zero stars
If I could give zero stars, I would. I placed an order two weeks ago to be delivered two days before Thanksgiving, purposely to make sure that there was a little wiggle room. The flowers were not delivered on Tuesday, and when I called today (after searching online for their phone number, since it is not on the website anywhere), I was told it was marked as being out for delivery today but that all deliveries had already been completed. What an absolute joke of a company. Never order from here.
There was no option for 0 stars
There was no option for 0 stars. Order was never delivered. Customer service is a joke. AI chat with no live customer service available. Do not trust and do not order from!
If I could give zero stars I would
If I could give zero stars I would. Placed order for same day delivery. 3 days later still no flowers. Agent offered refund of $16 svc chg. Never recd refund. Agents are foreigners, will not give you name of local florist they sent your floral order to, but they “will call and check” on it… which means they just put you on hold for a few minutes and then resume the call and begin their lies again. Unethical, unscrupulous SCAM artists is all this company is.
Never delivered and never issued full refund
I paid an extra fee to have an arrangement sent on 10/28/25. I was contacted that evening stating they couldn’t find a florist to fulfill order that day. I requested fee refund and agreed to have it sent the following day. I was not given refund of fee. I received a call again saying they could not fulfill order on 10/29. I asked for a full refund. The company is not issuing a full refund. They are saying I was given a $20 discount. I have proof from my PayPal what I was charged and they are issuing an amount $21 less than what I paid. I sent proof but they are still not giving me my full refund.
Fraudulent Company
The absolute worst company I’ve ever had the displeasure of doing business with. They take your order and have absolutely no intention whatsoever of following through on the delivery of your order. Received an email indicating that delivery had been made, when in fact, it had not. How was I so stupid to not have read the reviews for this scam company first? I will be reporting this as a fraudulent purchase with my credit card company and getting a full refund as well as filing a report with the BBB.
Horrible service DO NOT USE Florist.com
Horrible. Spent $75 to have flowers delivered to a friend for her birthday. I received a call that they did not have the correct container as ordered. Fine. I just asked for assurance that she would receive them on the same day. She did not get them and left work empty handed. Never again.
Unhappy on multiple levels
I am very disappointed. I ordered a specific arrangement 2 days in advance. After 5pm on the day they were supposed to be delivered and were not, I called only to find out that the local florist couldn’t fulfill my order but had something similar and could deliver first thing the following morning. I asked if there was any discount due to 3 things: 1) my order wasn’t filled with the product I ordered; 2) it wasn’t delivered on the promised date; and 3) they didn’t even proactively reach out to me, but I had to reach out. They said I could cancel the order or accept the “similar item” the next morning. So I accepted since I was sending my mom flowers for her birthday. The next day, an arrangement wasn’t delivered until 5pm, and it was nothing like what I had ordered. I cannot get ahold of customer service and have no recourse. I will never order from this place again!!!!
Wish i could give zero stars
Wish i could give zero stars. They sent me an email saying the product was delivered but it was not. Cant find any customer service anywhere. No phone number to call. And now i have to try to get my $$$ back. I am wondering if this is even an actual company.
-10 Stars
-10 Stars. This is the WORST Florist in Ontario and they should be shut down. Ordered a specific an arrangement off their website and was told then it was being substituted the day they were supposed to be delivered. And it gets worse, the flowers never showed up. Do not waste your valuable time with these characters.
I order flowers for my mom’s 80th…
I order flowers for my mom’s 80th birthday. I placed the order and they were supposed to be delivered the next day. They were to send me an email when they were delivered. Mid day I got into chat with them to find out an eta and they told me “they will be delivered before 8pm”. Then a contacted them a couple hours later and they said the same canned answer. At 5pm, I got this email, “We attempted to deliver your gift, but we were unable to do so.
We'll continue to attempt delivery until we're able to complete it, and will reach out to you if we need any additional information.”
They lied. Two hours later, in chat, I am told that they had a printer issue and the order never even printed at the florist so they never got the order!!!
There is a vast difference between we couldn’t find your house to deliver it and we never even got the order. They lied. I will never use them again. Now my mom does not have her flowers for her 80th birthday which is on Saturday the day after They were supposed to be delivered for the big party. I am more than upset.
The Angel Chime Had NO ANGEL!
The Angel Chime floral arrangement had no Angel, but hot pink dangles that was inappropriate for a male deceased sympathy arrangement. It was half the size of the description. When I complained, They only refunded half of what I paid.
I must let you know that Florists.com…
I must let you know that Florists.com is not reputable. As a local florist they send us the order at a significantly lesser price than the customer paid. Customers don't understand because they don't know that florists.com takes 100% of the money and sends us a small budget to make what you see online. I hate that company alot.
If you paid for a 100.00 arrangement they will send us 30.00 to make the item. Which of course when you get it as a customer is nowhere close to what you expected. We can only make the arrangement with the budget given. Do not order from Florists.com! Call your local florist directly instead!
Please read the reviews.
This is my true experience: I ordered same day service, paid extra, to have no flowers. I received a confirmation that they were delivered, but not to my friend.
The live chat couldn't help and gave me a phone number. I called the next day, and they were gracious, and recreated the original order to assign to a different florist.
I just saw a picture of the flowers and it was very poorly done. I am embarrassed to have spent that much money to have that pathetic arrangement for a birthday gift.
I do not recommend this service.
Wilted flowers delivered to my daughter
I ordered flowers for my daughter back in June. When they were delivered they were wilted and not what i ordered. I immediately reach out and no response. I then opened a complaint with paypal and uploaded the images and sent communication to the company through paypal and no response. Paypal got involved and I was told on August 17th, yes August 17th that i had to ship them back for a refund. I reached out to paypal immediately to intervine and still no resolution. Horrible customer service and even worse wilted flowers that died in two days delivered, not the bouquet I ordered, not even in the same color family. Not only will I never use them again but I will no longer use Paypal.
The wrong product was delivered
The wrong product was delivered. I ordered a wood basket holding a teddy bear and flowers for my grandaughter for her birthday 8/20/25. Worse is I chose the teddy for the hug I can't give her since she's 500 miles away. Then the site claims the ability to 'chat' but there is no 'chat" available, neither is there a telephone #. And when I chose the "wrong order" bar on the site, a POPUP informed that they make substitutions at will. Thats it, thats all they got!? I want my grandaughter to get the teddy! At least a partial refund would not make it right but it would help me not want to risk using any florists ever again. The order cost $69.90. The flowers she got look like $34.99 Parlor Room ones on their site.
Next time I will do my homework very…
Next time I will do my homework very detailed, I ordered for my daughter 8 years old, birthday to surprise her and they called me at 3:00 pm to cancel the order because they wouldn’t deliver, I got very used because im in another state for work and now my little girl is missing her flowers which I always get for her birthday unfortunately this time I’m far away for home they don’t understand how this makes me feel; very disappointed and upset because she was waiting for her flowers and balloons don’t confirm any F…..:: order if you are not going to delivery. Go learn how to do business first and stop playing with people feeling as……
