KLM tries to avoid paying compensation
My KLM flight from Copenhagen to Amsterdam on 4 January 2026 was cancelled. KLM’s IT system failed, so the operational situation was chaotic. KLM sent me an email “This situation is regarded as an extraordinary circumstance and therefore the compensation set by the EC Regulation 261/2004 does not apply”.
It was good to use Flyhjælp in this situation.

My experience with Flyhjælp has been very disappointing.
The case handling time was long, and communication throughout the process was limited. In the end, Flyhjælp chose to close the case, citing a lack of documentation — including the fact that the airline would not provide a so-called Handling Report, which could have documented the delay.
It seems problematic that a case is closed due to missing documentation, especially when the airline itself holds that documentation. As a customer, you would expect a company like Flyhjælp to be better able to obtain relevant evidence or advise on alternative options.
Overall, the process leaves the impression of limited effectiveness and value compared to what is otherwise advertised.
I would therefore not recommend Flyhjælp to others.

Thanks for making things right! No parents should be left alone in an airport for a whole day with a small child. Norwegian should be ashamed of how they handle our case.
Impressive work
Worked very well. I filed my case and Flyhjælp.dk took it all the way. Air India refused compensation, but then Flyhjælp took it to court and won the case and I got compensation. I would not have gone throught that myself.

Took many mails and correspondence to get case solved. And with the payment of 120 euros as fee, I didn’t get much. I could have done all the work myself with the airline and saved the fee. We travelled as a group and some got money within 2 weeks and others 3 months.

Great service and positive result
The company took my case about a 6 hour delayed flight ( CpH-Istanbul-Hanoi) in 2023. Yes, it took some time, but this week I got my compensation. I was constantly updated about the progress throughout the 2 years. Last week I got the good news they have won and the money were paid out to my account in 3 days. Recommend 100% !!

Got result after a long time
It is good that Flyhjælp kept on going with the case even though it took a very long time. It was a case where the responsibility was not clear was it the booking company or the airline? A flight was just cancelled 3 weeks before departure without compensation. The flight was in 2023 and we got the money in 2025.
