The almost comic-like illustrations of Jonathan Burton fit perfectly to the heroine of this lightly-written book. I like comics a lot and if there was to be a comic about this book, Mr. Burton could draw it. The story hasn't lost its attraction and is -I feel- underestimated by readers of literature. We had lots of vampirebooks - and films, the gothic-revival isn't so long ago. Time to get back on our feet again.

This is a beautiful edition with elegant illustrations. Construction quality is very high and the paper is excellent. I have been buying these as presents for my wife periodically. Soon she will have the complete set. She was very happy with this one.
