I wish I had heard of Trustpilot before I purchased the product. FonePaw basically stole my money and ignored my email requests for a refund as they advertised a false capability in their features list that the product did not have.

I replied to the FonePaw request for data regarding my on 6/20/19 and have received no reply from Lucy of FonePaw. This behavior hasn't changed my mind about FonePaw.

I highly regret ever using the software to backup and restore my phone after installing a custom ROM. ADB SMS backup worked fine.

However, once you do the backup operation, the backup .csv file is in a proprietary format and not recognized by other backup software, so you have no choice but to use the licensed software if you want your files back. This was not made clear to me when I installed it. Basically it's ransomware.

Edit: To FonePaw's reply - Yes, I can restore the SMS backup file to my computer using the free version. However, the .csv file that your backup software creates for SMS is not recognized by other backup software (not standardized format) and you cannot import it back to the phone without buying the licensed software.

This is ransomware and your reply doesn't change that.

Worst customer service I ever encountered. Asked for a refund the very same day I purchased a software after realising it doesn’t do what they claim it does. It’s been almost 3 months, 17 emails sent, 14 received, no refund. 6 request numbers and counting: 13359 / 13646 / 14074 / 14409 / 14857 / 15472.

I wish that I had come here first! Believe the bad reviews. The last Samsung phone that they even claim to support is a Galaxy S-6 ...a 2015 model. The same as others, no refund because I did not read the website that shows supported phones. I cannot find that anywhere on the site. I think the only way is to download the trial version. I am filing a dispute with my credit card and we will see what happens. DO NOT BUY THIS SOFTWARE!!!

Been trying to contact the company to honour there 30-day money back refund after realising that I would need to give the program root access to my phone which is not clear in the instructions and not something I am comfortable with doing. It should be a reasonable request but as yet have not heard anything in reply.

I downloaded the Trial vs.. to recover photos... I did see photos that the program supposedly would have recovered... tho this process took days to complete and I'm not sure if the recover works because before I had the chance to purchase the program to try the recover FonePaw deleted the photos... and inactivated the trial vs tho had 20 days left... so would have to start all over again... after buying the software... I was willing to do that until they removed the photos now would not do it.. I think it must be a scam... how can you know if this works if not at least let you recover a few photos with the trial vs so you would know for sure it it

This software did not work. I read all instructions, even watched videos. It did not retrieve any lost data. I contacted the company for a refund and they said no they would not refund my purchase .
Do not purchase anything from this RIP off company.

Scammers, you have to trial product their software before you buy. if your device is not listed as an optio,n in the actual SW, then they won't refund your money even though the device is listed on their actual website. THey were sure willing to "allow" me to pay MORE money for yet, another questionalbe piece of softwared.don't do it! I'm out $77!!

Soo needed to recover some data off a phone and this popped on google when I searched. Looked up the reviews on here, but figured I would give it a shot anyway.

First shady thing was when I installed the program it required me to reboot my computer. I didn't and went ahead and used the software to try it. Next while scanning my phone it asked to root it. I didn't as I don't trust a new prog not to brick my phone and hold data hostage.

Now the suck part like everyone complains about. It worked and scanned my phone, but wouldn't let me recover anything it found til I bought it. Really sh-tee business model that. During their uninstall survey I sent them a tip. Instead of giving me a thirty day trial that is useless, just limit me to one recovery for each element they are selling. For instance I can back-up my stuff and then get one recovery, or I can scan for deleted data and then get one recovery of that. This lets me know the program actually works. I would have paid for it if they had most likely even if it is a little shady since I could run it in a virtual box.

Last shady bit was it installed an app on the phone to work and it left stuff on my computer and phone when I uninstalled the app because I found a better one that is free here:

Updatre: Having to do this because this company flagged my review for not mentioning customer service. A note to the douchebag from Trustpilot you flagged it, I don't need to mention customer service as I didn't call them because I knew from just my experience with the software that the company and their software sucked.

If I could give this company NO STARS I would - Terrible - they claim a 30 day money back guarantee and then DO NOT LIVE UP TO THAT CLAIM.. Total SCAMMERS FROM SOMEWHERE OFFSHORE.. Do not buy or use anything from them, they are not honest

This company and software are such a scam. Dont trust them with your CC information. Dont trust any of their support polocies. They seem to be making it all up as they go and being supershady. Was a decent product that worked well from about 2015 to 2016/early 2017. Clearley there has been a shift in they way the operate and goal number one is to confuse users and make them spend more money.

And on a side note. With all the updates, changes to the way you access and download data, odds are you wont be getting a fraction of the data you lost (especially if 2017 forward).

Save your money. I wish I did.

I keep getting the following error when I try to scan to recover iPhone memos only...

"the disk has not enough space, which will cause the failure of scanning. Please clean up the disk first."

I'm using the trial version (which was recommended), and I'm afraid to purchase the full data recover version, for fear that I will simply get the same message. Could you please advice me how to proceed?

only works on samsung s6 and lower beware its absolutely garbage software and customer service.

This software is unable to fix iOS 4013 error on iPhone X. I don't recommend you to buy.

This product is not user friendly. I purchased the product and can't recover any thing to my phone. When I hit recover it takes me to the box that says I'm registered. Then What? I want a refund. I

I installed FonePaw iPhone Data Recovery a couple of month ago to recover some photos I have deleted from my iPhone 6s. It did get back the photos I need. The photos were actually deleted several weeks so it is pretty awesome that the software can get it back. I haven’t open the program since then. But yesterday I wanted to look up some photos in my iCloud backup. Then I remembered that the FonePaw app can download the iCloud backup. So I tried to download iCloud backup with the program, but it is blank. I don’t know why. Have contacted the support and am still waiting for reply. Hope they can solve it quickly.

I bought the FonePaw Data Recovery app three days ago but I didn't get any info about the product. So I contacted the support service, and they sent me my code via email. They explained that the code system got some bugs and that's why I couldn't received my code...

For the app itself, it works for my case. I got back about 40 lost photos from my laptop:)

I downloaded the trial version and it didn't do whay I needed so I upgraded to full version. It restored the data to my laptop, but that is not what I needed. I asked for a refund the next day and have been back and forth with support ever since because they don't understand or more likely won'y understand. Now it seems the license in deactivated and I can't re-register and I have no refund.
