Fabulous B&B in Cossignano, Le Marche
We had booked an Agriturismo place in Le Marche and on arrival it became clear that the standards were very poor. It was around 8pm and we did an internet search with B&B and swimming pools as two key requirements. Dimora Fontemaggio B&B came up and after a couple of calls to the property owners, we drove for half an hour to Cossignano to meet with Maria, the housekeeper of the B&B. She made us most welcome and showed us our room and gave us a tour of the swimming pool and all the areas of the establishment. We stayed for eight nights and Maria made sure she understood what we liked for breakfast and she delivered a perfect range of locally supplied fruit, vegetables, cheeses and cured meats. She even prepared bacon and eggs and frittata on some mornings. The rooms were superb, well fitted and comfortable. The swimming pool though not large was sufficient for our needs and the natural temperature of the water gave us relief as the weather was so warm despite the afternoon thunderstorms. Language was not an issue as we made good use of various language interpretation apps on our phones. We will definitely go back to this B&B, it is so handy for beaches, mountains and Ascoli Piceno amongst many other hilltop towns and villages. If you are ever in the southern part of Le Marche close to the Abruzzo border then check out this wonderful B&B and of course Maria. She will definitely look after you. Grazie mille, Maria
