We had free tickets so cant moan to be fair. If we had paid would be gutted as it literally is food trucks and some music. The high heat just makes some of the food trucks look unappetising. That sai... See more

I attended the Winchester one on Saturday 18 July. I wouldn’t call this a ‘foodies’ festival - it seemed like the alcohol stalls outweighed the food ones. How many varieties of beer / cider / cockt... See more

We went to the St Albans foodies festival on both Sat and Sunday and had a fabulous time! The great weather helped of course but we found the music on both days fantastic and plenty of amazing food... See more

Ripoff

Expensive, very little going on. A £6 goody bag contained a jar of cheap gherkins and a few leaflets. Can’t see how can anyone stay there more than an hour or two.

Save your money

Paid for weekend tickets only for them to decide to hand out free tickets for the whole weekend to anyone and everyone in Guildford (probably realised that there wouldn’t be anyone going if they didn’t). Customer service does not exist, no reply to any emails with questions. Food is as expensive as going to a large music festival?! Ibiza orchestra were great but finished an hour earlier than advertised. Sister Sledge and Blue were beyond awful. Save your money! This company does not deserve to take off.

Let down

Waited hours for the main act to come on for them to sing 3 songs and leave, not worth the money. Nothing foodie about it. Its one stage with a few over priced food stalls and some over priced fairground rides. Wouldn't recommend

Absolute rip off

Absolute rip off. Just a fenced off area with limited fast food stalls not much better than burger vans, expensive craft stalls, and charity stalls trying to get a monthly donation from you (i already give to a charity of my choice monthly - thankyou). I didn't find anything produced locally and no real reason why the admission price was so high. £8 admission to Tatton Park, £25 to get in, plus lowest price snack @ £12 = £45 pounds for my lunch.... thats rather expensive for a kebab!!! Also, not enough seating area and no cover for rain - we do live in England....

If you see these pop up elsewhere in the UK, please save your money and go and have a nice dinner in a quality restaurant.

VIP - save your money

Mistakenly bought VIP tickets x 2 £52 each for the Food Festival at St Albans Oaklands College 2024, we could have got discounted standard tickets at £16 each!!
Overall the site seemed will set up, a fair amount of food/drink stalls, rides and things to keep children entertained. After walking straight into the festival unchallenged, nobody asked to see any kind of ticket, realising that something was amiss, went back to the entrance and asked someone where to get the VIP bracelets. For this we received tokens for one drink each and priority registration for masterclass tickets.
Badly misrepresented, the VIP tent was too far from the stage, the artists were a blur at best. The tent consisted of a bar, a group of tables and chairs and toilet facilities and was surrounded by a disjointed, gappy, picket fence.
If you could be bothered to adjust your seating to at least have some sort of view, people just stood around right in front of the wooden picket fence surrounding the VIP area, totally obscuring any view. Security continued to be rubbish, some people just moved sections of the fence out of the way to gain entry. Noted several people walking in and out without bracelets, using the limited facilities, sitting at the tables - only challenged when someone mentioned it to the staff.
Sister Sledge - well one sister did a set of 4 songs I believe – just over half an hour maybe. In the end to see anything we had to leave the VIP tent and stand in the middle of the crowds we had paid extra to avoid. After a very short set we were told to leave, way before the actual finish time.
In effect we paid an extra £72 for two warm drinks, total waste of money. No wait there were two goody bags as well. Not sure who they were good for though, the only things we could use were coconut water and a jar of pickled gherkins… and I'm staying well clear of the latter.
To be fair if we had bought the discounted standard tickets, there would have been no complaints, the sun was shining and those offered good value.

Tatton park, Sat 9th July 2022. £25 per ticket, all the food stands were avg, £8 parking and very little seating. Don't waste your money.
