A very positive experience. I purchased a Paramo Jacket, online. It was on sale at a great price and the service was perfect. I put the order in and it was here in a couple of days. I will definitely be shopping at Foothills again.

I’ve used Foothills a number of times, to buy walking boots and outdoor accessories. They provide an excellent personal service on every occasion. They are knowledgeable, patient and helpful at all times.

I visited foothills to purchase a new pair of walking boots.
From start to finish the service and knowledge of the staff was first class. I was served by Liz who spent considerable time ensuring that I got the correct fit, I even got a coffee and mince pie.
If you are in the market for hiking/ walking boots or shoes this shop is worth the visit.great old fashioned service and care.

I made an appointment to get some new boots fitted, after seeing on the website that fitting was available. The staff were very helpful, measuring my feet, checking what type of walking/ hiking I needed the boots for, and then bringing lots of different boots for me to try on until we found a pair that fitted my feet well. It took a while to find the best fit, and I was offered a drink between trying boots on. The person who served me checked I knew how to maintain leather boots, and got me the right wax as well. It was also useful to find there is customer parking right outside the shop, as there is not a lot of space on the road.

Fantastic shop. I wanted to buy a really good pair of walking boots. Having hiked for over 55 years I have never had my feet measured before but once they were I was amazed to find I've been wearing boots half a size too small the whole time! The lovely woman who served me (sorry, missed your name) was so helpful and took time to ensure I got exactly the right boots for me. I am delighted with my purchase and would recommend Foothills 100%.

Fantastic service. My husband was struggling to find wide fit comfortable waking boots. The staff went above and beyond. Spent an hour having feet measured and listening to advice.
Came away very happy. Will be back soon!

I received a fantastic service at Foothills, I bought a pair of walking boots but unfortunately they rubbed in places due to the orthotics I wear. I went back various times and they helped me to try different insoles and stretch the material where necessary. Everyone that helped me was really knowledgeable and friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Due to a mistake on the colour availability I was promptly called by Alex who was incredibly friendly, polite and knowledgeable about the products. Alex let me know that the colour I chose was not available due to an online error on their side.
I was offered another colour or I could wait until the new batch came in in a few months time.
I opted to wait for the new batch and just before It was due to be sent out I phoned the store to add extras to my order.
I spoke to Alex and again very polite and professional, he went above and beyond to help me with the order and explain the care regime for the Paramo Jacket and the best way to keep it waterproof and clean.

The jacket arrived very quickly after posted and just in time for the heavy downpours we've had, and what a great jacket it is too.

This stores ethics really made me feel like I had time travelled back to the 90's to those simpler times , a time where staff really seemed to value their customers and take pride in their roles.
Which is exactly the feeling I got from foothills.

99% of UK stores could learn a helluva lot form these guys.

Foothills came highly recommended by a friend who does a lot of walking so it was here that I shopped for a new pair of walking boots, despite the hours drive from north Nottinghamshire! Sarah was incredibly knowledgeable - about feet, and about their huge stock of boots. My existing walking boots were 30 years old and it was pleasing to know things have moved on and there are boots to fit different feet. Sarah was very thorough in her endeavours for a well fitting boot, and even assessed each pair on the uphill and downhill model in the shop. The pair of boots I purchased was the first pair I tried on (or three she brought out) which I think says much about her expertise, skill and knowledge.

And if this wasn’t enough, free of charge, they put some walking trainers purchased elsewhere which had been un wearable due to being too small (narrow and length) onto a stretcher - and posted them back again without charge.

I really appreciated the knowledge and patience of the sales staff (Frankie) who - when I explained my particular foot issues - brought out a number walking boots to try, taught me a new way of lacing boots that I won't forget, and let me take my time. I never felt rushed to make a decision and I was really glad of that. Frankie also stretched the boots I chose - a pair made by Hanwag - to make them more comfortable for me! I've yet to try them outdoors but I'm hopeful they're going to be great.

Called in for some new walking boots and was very pleased with the quality and availability of boots. Great attention from the staff(Ruby) and ensured the correct fit and size will definitely return good value for money

As a family we have bought hiking boots, socks and outer wear from Foothills for many years. Excellent, informed customer service from staff who have personal experience of the items or know someone who has! Community centered local knowledge is a genuine feature for this superb independent business.

Found the Páramo velez trousers on sale online at Foothills, saving £45. Easy to order, same day despatch, and with me very quickly via 48 hour tracked Royal Mail (phew, not one of the other so called delivery companies). Great product, great price and great service, all while supporting a bricks and mortar shop employing real people.

Great experience for both myself and my partner, staff are attentive and knowledgeable, I didn’t get the name of the lady who served me but she was fab ( she told me she was 60 but certainly looks more like 50, the anti ageing benefits of hiking!!) and a special mention to Frankie who was an absolute star! I first used Foothills about 10 years ago and received amazing thorough service in the buying of walking boots. I got the same care and attention when discussing possible repairs in an attempt to eke out their time. Sadly I have just needed to replace them but have received the same excellent service despite being a slightly awkward customer in terms of my feet. I recommend Foothills to everyone and am only sad it’s not in Leeds. But it’s always worth the journey.

Customer service is second to none here.
They have been exceptionally accommodating replacing boots that were unsuitable without a quibble.
The young girl Ros, who served me was also very helpful with a lovely manner.
