Gave me a competitive rate for purchasing Euros. Easy to order and received them in about a week... make sure someone is there that can sign for them when they are delivered. Convenient, But Not Private
International Currency Express processed my online order for GBP. The actual ordering of the currency online was pretty easy. After submitting my order and payment details, I was then contacted via email asking that I send my SS# and driver's license number, per the "US Patriot Act" requirements. They already had my bank details so the purchase could be tracked by the government that way. Due to my work schedule, in the time it took to me to email back my personal information and the time to process my purchase, the exchange rate had gone down, but the company didn't adjust the rate to reflect the drop. All in all the online purchase was convenient, but I would recommend a disclosure on the main web page regarding the Patriot Act and an explaintion of what is required.

We are sorry the transaction didn't go as smoothly with you as it has with other clients. You're right, your busy schedule may have added a few more hours to the process. We try to accommodate our clients as much as possible, especially with sensitive information that is required by the USA PATRIOT ACT. Our main goal is to get the currency in your hands at the best rate of exchange possible. The government isn't looking to track your transactions, it is to making sure we remain a legitimate business and prevent money laundering.
In regards to the change in the rate of exchange during the acquisition of your compliance information, what you suggested makes perfect sense; however, it cannot be done. The reason for it is the flipside to it. Would it be fair for us to ask for more money should the rate have gone in the opposite direction? We believe it would not. The rate of exchange is locked once you submit your request for foreign currency which protects both parties in the transaction.
We will look further into the placement of our legal requirements. We felt that the current locations were plenty. They can be found at the footer of the home page and in the Terms & Conditions which are located at the end of the ordering process. It didn't really make our "Frequently Asked Questions", but perhaps it would make sense to add it there as well.
We are grateful for your feedback and the wonderful rating you have given us. We'll work harder to earn that fifth star on your next order. Have a wonderful trip and don't forget, we buy back foreign currency at a special rate of exchange.

While we are the mercy of the delivery courier, we do take this seriously and will address it with the corresponding company. We ask that all packages be signed for delivery to take place. However, it is unfortunate that not all mail carriers follow procedures as they should. Please rest assured, all packages are fully insured.

I sent in a request for currency, with all the required information asked of me, to include full payment. Yet, someone called me asking for more information, and did not/would not explain why they were calling me. It felt like a scam, so I refused. As a result, I will never use your company again.
