Appalling spa service

I purchased a couples valentines spa experience direct with the hotel back in February
We never got round to use it as we have been extremely busy renovating our new house
So this morning i thought id book us in for a bit of well earned relaxation
Unfortunately the voucher expired last month !
I called the hotel and they
asked if I’d purchased it through groupon or wowcher as I could of maybe got a date extension which I replied no I did it directly with yourselves, she replied point blank no they couldn’t do anything about it !! No offer of an extension (obviously I’d pay extra) absolutely no help at all!
I thought purchasing directly from the hotel itself instead of from a third party would have been a better personal service ! Also my brother got married there and I specifically chose this hotel as I loved it !
Appalling service Forest of Arden,I am now £100 out of pocket!

Stayed here for 2 nights for work last…

Stayed here for 2 nights for work last week, basic hotel and bit dated, In the middle of a heat wave and no a/c throughout the hotel (except in the gym). 14 colleagues stayed and were asked in advance what they’d like to eat from the menu and was duly pre ordered in advance.
Sat down at 19:30 and 45mins later various plates came out and most were incorrect, this happened the following night with a colleague finally getting their meal at 9pm when we had all finished.
Breakfast is a lot better because its self service with a good array of continental & cooked breakfast options, only negative was when i opened the container with the scrambled egg in stunk of fish and then tasted like fish, really bad if you have an allergy to seafood.
£7.50 for a pint is daylight robbery, but there’s nowhere near to have a drink unless you get a taxi.
Don’t know about the golf facilities as not a golfer. The grounds are well kept tho.
All in all expensive rooms, food and drink.

Great time away celebrating a 50th…

Great time away celebrating a 50th birthday, some what ruined when I went to leave and found my windscreen smashed from a stray ball.

These things happen and unfortunately no one had owned up, despite this the duty manager assured me she would look into and call back to make it right. Still waiying for a response despite more emails.

The fact the range does nothing to protect the cars from stray balls and leave me having to pay £165 in excess as well as time lost, is concerning as sure it wont have been the only time.

Maybe they will do the right thing and reimburse my damage but as they never get back to you, unlikely.

Relax in the pleasant surroundings and let the staff look after you.

Quite simply, BRILLIANT!
Set in a beautiful country location this hotel is so peaceful, yet only a few minutes drive from the NEC, Meriden and the motorway network. On arrival at the main entrance guests are greeted by a beautiful small circular lawn surrounded by a colourful floral display complete with a pleasant stag monument in the middle.
Every member of staff is polite, courteous and helpful. The whole hotel has a certain opulence. The rooms are a good size without being too large, have comfortable beds, sumptuous pillows and the bathrooms are all with a bath and shower and pleasant for a good soak. Always there is hot water with no running problems. The rooms are well lit. Fully lined curtains keep out any lingering light to ensure a good night's sleep. There is a decent (largish) telly in each room with a high and clear definition. There is a decent kettle and coffee, tea, sufficient milk and biscuits are supplied. There is a largish desk with a smoked glass top, two pleasant easy chairs accompanied by a small round table, not to mention the standard lamp close by. Everywhere is very clean and the hotel always smells nice.
I usually eat in the bar and have always had first class meals. There is a good range of beers too. The bar is a very pleasant informal place to eat and relax after a day out.
The breakfasts are very comprehensive and nicely cooked. There is an array of cereals, you can have a full English breakfast, or, if you prefer a continental there is a full range of croissants, muffins and other such delights. For the health conscious there is fruit. There is a good choice of coffees from the coffee machine and fruit juices are available, or you can just enjoy the tea. The restaurant is most pleasant with its array of windows that overlook the golf course and the rising morning mist gives a wonderous effect. I gather that there is a swimming pool although I have never used it.
There is a lift so you don't have to lug your cases up the stairs.
No need to worry about your car as there are security gates which are often also guarded and entrants need to ask the helpful reception staff for the code. The car park is large enough to accommodate all residents and golfers and it's pleasantly surrounded by shrubs and bushes. The driveway from the road to the gates is flanked by neat and tidy lawns with trees and this pleasant entrée is most welcoming and relaxing after a long drive.
The clientele are very considerate and friendly. The hotel has never hosted loud events (with music or otherwise) on any of my visits - unlike other establishments in the area.
If I was forced to criticise I would suggest slightly wider baths (there is room in the bathrooms) and I'd also welcome at least one traditional bitter available on draught in the bar.
But don't let that put you off - I firmly believe that this is the best hotel in the area, especially as it's very competitively priced against others.
When it came to checking out Tisha was most pleasant, just like all the other staff members and I didn't want to leave.
Quite simply visit, rest back, let the staff look after you, real and enjoy your stay.
Yes, this must be the best hotel in the area.
