Fairly unimpressed with the quality of this hook knife. Not very sharp, as well. The side that the bevel is on makes it very hard to sharpen. Tried to use it a few times for assisting with scooping out instrument concaves and gave up. Now it just sits on the drawer.

The tool itself was of decent quality, and the leather blade guard is nice, though I would have returned it except for the less-than-stellar return policy and process. I live in the United States and it took longer than hoped to arrive, probably due to customs. I decided to keep it but ordered another tool from Barr which was of much higher quality in my opinion, a thicker chisel and what appears to be a harder steel. I prefer the Barr tool by far.

Products Damaged, Mid-Quality, Long Shipping Waits
Product is of half-decent quality, not as nice as expected. Took a good while to ship (granted coming from Ukraine) but all arrived. Biggest complaint was the absolutely shoddy packing resulting in multiple of my timber slicks having large chips out of the finished edge (what a disappointment, multiple required a decent bit of reworking for a brand-new product. Sharpening is understandable but having to totally reshape multiple faces due to poor shipping prep is honestly unacceptable). Would 100% NOT purchase from here again, shell out for a Sorby instead of this crap.

Best leather blades I’ve ever owned!
So beautiful, so comfortable and easy to use they cut through leather like paper. I’ve had them about a month now using them daily and the sharpness hasn’t faded at all, truly the best upgrade decision I’ve ever made.
