My experience with Formula Jon Driving school was great. I had Ravi as my driving instructor who was patient and made me feel confident and re assured throughout the process. I passed first time and I would 100% recommend to anyone who is looking to learn to drive.

I found Formula Jon Driving School online, was booked in and had Jon Kenny as my manual driving instructor in Sutton. Jon is extremely professional and experienced with everything to do with driving and most importantly how to pass the practical driving test.

The scheduling is always flexible and can always be rearranged if you are going away or unavailable. The current DVSA driving test booking system is extremely poor but Jon can help you book, move or swap dates so that you can confidently pass. I personally took 60 hours of lessons but in the end I took my test at 100% and proudly passed first time.

If you are looking to pass confidently then Formula Jon is the way to go.

Imran was always on-time, explained everything clearly and was a nice person to be around.

I had some refresher lessons with Jon the automatic instructor and he was fantastic. He was kind and patient and happily answered my many questions! Highly recommended.

I had a great experience learning to drive in Sutton/Cheam with Imran. He was easy-going and helped make the lessons feel stress-free, which helped gradually build up my confidence.

He drove around the test routes for my upcoming test and was always clear and constructive when pointing out mistakes and was able to help correct these in a supportive manner. His advice worked wonders and I was able to pass first time!

Ravi has without doubt proven to be the instructor everyone hopes they or their child will have. I started my driving journey with Formula Jon Driving School back in October 2024 in the Hackbridge area. Despite many people encouraging me to take the easier route with automatic lessons, I chose to learn manual—and I’m so glad I did.

Formula Jon Driving School made learning to drive manual feel easy and approachable. The lessons were consistent, and Jon was always supportive, keeping me on track and focused on my goal. His calm and clear teaching style really helped build my confidence behind the wheel.

In May 2025, I finally passed my test, and I couldn’t recommend Formula Jon Driving School enough!

I started learning to driving with formula Jon driving school in September and I passed my driving test 1st time today at Morden 5 months pregnant and I am so grateful that I picked him for my manual lessons. My driving instructor was Jon and he was so patient and friendly and his humour is 100%.
He explains things so well that makes you feel confident at doing what he tells you to do. Will miss my Friday afternoon with you 😂
If you get nervous while driving Jon takes them nervous away with his coaching skills.
No wonder why Jon has been nominated for the intelligent instructor awards 2025 being in the uk top 100 driving instructors

Formula Jon Driving School gave me such an amazing driving experience. Jon gave me Manual driving lessons in Epsom and it was great! He was very patient and took his time to get to know me and my driving style. There were times that he knew what I was doing without me saying anything! Would definitely recommend, I started out as such a nervous driver and he has given so much confidence. Couldn't ask for a better instructor

I passed my driving test today in Sutton, first time past! My driving instructor John K was absolutely amazing and very patient I done manual driving lessons with him and passed within 4 months! I couldn’t thank him enough for everything he’s done with me over the last 4 months thank you again soooo much!!

I’m so thankful I decided to go with formula Jon, throughout the whole experience both manual and automatic instructors made me feel so comfortable and eased my nerves! Would recommend these guys to anyone!

Had the best time learning to drive with Formula Jon driving school. I was a student with both Jon’s and they were both absolutely brilliant! I passed my test today with 0 faults after learning to drive in less than 5 months, and I couldn’t be happier! If you’re looking for a driving school that really cares about their students and has the funniest, most down to Earth instructors then definitely use Formula Jon!

I had Jon as my driving instructor and he helped me pass first time. I would highly recommend learning with Formula Jon Driving School. I took manual driving lessons with this school and picked it up right away. My lessons would start in Wallington and then we’d go over to Sutton and drive through all of the areas that could’ve been apart of the test.

Jon would coach me through doing something and then get me to do it with a little assistance and then shortly after, no assistance at all. I feel that this is the best way to do it as it really builds confidence and makes you feel comfortable in the car knowing that if you do go wrong the instructor will quickly rectify the problem without any worries. Jon made me feel safe behind the wheel at all times with the mix of humour and professionalism.

All in all, I would highly recommend Formula Jon Driving School as they are simply the best at what they do.

Formula jon were super patient with me after I had to relearn how to drive after coming from a different school. My instructor Jon K taught me how to drive safely and effectively, something that I feel a lot of schools are missing. I am a very anxious driver and not once was I made to feel bad rather, I was taught strategies to combat this whilst I’m driving at it paid off. I passed my test at Morden within 6 months of alternating weekly lessons despite all my anxiety. Jon was super flexible around my work life and even offered to pick me up at train stations instead of my home in Sutton to not loose as much time on my lessons.
10/10 instructor would highly recommend to anyone who’s looking !!

Jon has been a great instructor, he was very patient with me, and his lessons were fun. The lessons have a clear structure and the app helps you track your progress. Jon massively helped me out the week before my test, going above and beyond to help me get my license. I really enjoyed learning to drive with Jon and would highly recommend.

Jon did a great job of explaining everything very thoroughly and ensuring that I was up to standard before the test. He was patient with all the mistakes I made and set clear objectives for each lesson to work on areas that needed improvement. Jon was very supportive and persistent in making sure I was confident in all aspects of driving, all while keeping the lessons filled with laughs. I highly recommend to anyone looking for manual driving lessons in Sutton!
