Forteller diver in red

I bought the Forteller diver in red a while ago. A really beautiful watch and the whole package with the diver clasp appealed to me. Unfortunately, the watch arrived with a broken diver clasp. I wrote to Vorteil by email and was promised a replacement. And then nothing happened! No replacement and no response to my inquiries. Not answering a complaint once could be an oversight. But consistently not responding is very bad business practice. Despite the beautiful watches, I will certainly never buy one from them again and can only advise against buying one if you expect good customer service.

The micro brand to watch.

Received my Engineer Diver in red today. Well I'm blown away with the quality, specifications and the extras you receive with the watch. This watch is to cheap in my opinion for what you get for your money. I certainly look forward to future releases. My wife gave it 5* so that's a plus and she priced it at £450, so I have extra cash to buy something else. The exchange rate I paid for the UK was £240 for the watch and £62 import duty and VAT. Total £302.(Bargain, buy one).
PS. On the web site it states that every watch colour is limited to 100 pieces and will be numbered 0 to 99, I can not find this anywhere so maybe the website should be updated or I just haven't found it. No warranty/purchase card either. Both these are a little disappointing.

Microbrand Mayhem

First of all I have to say that I like the Engineer Diver watches, the build quality is without doubt superior in every way to other brands costing far, far more. The downside is yet again the customer service aspect of this small microbrand company and yet another scandinavian company that doesn't respect the power of the customer. Again I have to say, perhaps it's me!! Am I too sensitive? I asked the question, why , as a european company are your prices in US dollars? The terse response is this..'The prices are in USD because the factories use USD. All watches are sent from Norway where I personally inspect every watch' Sven Even. Trouble is, we live in Europe, we trade in the euro and when we purchase something in USD, normally outside of the EU, our banks charge us a currency exchange fee!! Is it perhaps a tax dodge?
