On visiting Lynne in Dunfermline any funeral arrangement anxieties we had were taken away. We were made to feel at ease and guided through every step of the process. The Dunfermline funeral home is comfortable and bright which helps make the difficult tasks a bit easier. Lynne, in the weeks leading up to mums funeral and Lynne and the Fosters team on the day were exceptional in their support and guidance ensuring our wishes were carried out exactly - checking in at various points before, during and after the funeral. The co-ordination with one point of contact made things easier with Lynne making initial contact with our choice of hotel, minister and piper on our behalf.

I would say do not hesitate in contacting Lynne in Dunfermline or in using Fosters as a whole.

They were very helpful kind and caring
With nothing too much bother for Lesley and Georgia they explained everything and answered any questions I had. They made sure everything was as I wanted and on the day the cars and the staff were very caring and professional and the celebrant was very good and delivered a lovely service

At a very difficult time staff were helpful and respectful, good advice was offered all the way through arranging the funeral, on the day every event ran like clockwork, cars were immaculate, no hesitation in recommending this company, 10 out of 10

My dad prearranged his funeral with Fosters (NewtonMearns Branch). Treatment off Undertakers was disgusting, never spoke to us at all before,during or after funeral, never offered condolences, person dealing Marie or Maria was meant to call me but never recieved a call. Can't say they didn't know I was his Daughter as I am his only child and, myself and my family were in the front row and it was obvious that we were his family by how upset we were, plus the fact they asked my son to help carry his coffin so they knew were his family but chose not to speak to us or treat us as his family. This funeral was the most disgusting and dreadful funeral I have ever attended because of the way were were treated so disrespectfully by this undertaker. Apart from that the funeral was a nice set up. The humorous used was lovely and was the only person there that came and spoke to us. I contacted Fosters after to find out about collecting his ashes. The woman on the front desk that answered was wonderful and invited me to come in to collect a share of my dad, she treated us better than the staff attending the funeral and was very welcoming and spoke to me and my daughter for a good hour about my dad and his life. After my experience with this undertakers I would not recommend using them.

This is the second time i have used Fosters, first time 7 years ago for my brother and recently for my husband who passed away on the 9th of january 2025,my husband and myself said when either of us passed we would use Fosters as we were very impressed with there care and attention they gave to my brother and us as a family. and they did not let me down when my husband passed they are very caring and attentive and kept us informed every step of the way even on the day of the funeral they never left our side and did my husband and the family proud. Caroline at Fosters was extremely professional and sensitive at a difficult time for our family after the loss of mum/wife. Our family had no previous experience of dealing with a family bereavement.
She explained all the processes clearly and concisely and allowed us time to take in our options without pressure.
Caroline kept us updated with all the information required.
I would certainly use Fosters again and would readily recommend.

Everything was done efficiently and time was spent on meeting all our needs. Nothing was too much trouble and all went perfectly on the day.

Jess, Martin and our celebrant Alasdair Gammack helped us make a beautiful, intimate and gentle celebration of my mum's life which felt just right. The flowers were beautiful and the service is a memory that we will always treasure. It felt clear that everyone at Perth Fosters really cared about their work and the people they were looking after.

Couldn't have done this without fosters from first phone call to picking up the ashes for all the staff they do such a wonderful job

Fosters made the process of saying goodbye to my mum seamless. Their kindness and patience were second to none. Caroline was so helpful, respectful and kept us all informed. She was available when we had any questions and organised the celebrant and contacted the local hotel on our behalf to organise the reception. The service was lovely and all those attended commented on how well organised everything was. Elaine the celebrant should also be praised for her service too. Highly recommend Fosters of Burnside

Would personally recommend jacki from the Motherwell branch, she’s an absolute gem and very down to earth and didn’t make the process feel too cold or robotic, and helped me with a few issues during the organisation, and after the service was done

We’ve now used Fosters a couple of times for family funerals, and each time they are great. The team at the Edinburgh branch are always friendly, treat you with sympathy and the utmost respect. On this occasion we worked with Emma to arrange my mother’s funeral and I couldn’t fault her at all. She helped us with everything that we needed and explained all of the options available. She worked with us to plan a beautiful funeral that was delivered perfectly. I honestly couldn’t thank Emma and the Foster’s team more and would recommend them to anyone.

Friendly approach by staff made the situation re my mum death a lot easier.
