Appalling service

I’m extremely disappointed with the cancellation process at Foxtel. Customers are forced to call and navigate a deliberately difficult process just to cancel a subscription, something that should be simple and accessible online. It’s clear this setup exists to pressure people into staying, offering discounts or alternate plans in a last-ditch attempt to retain customers.

When I asked how long the cancellation would take, the representative told me she had “no idea, could be five minutes, ten minutes, who knows.” I explained that I simply needed to cancel in the most efficient way possible, as I had a newborn in my arms and a toddler needing my attention. In response, she abruptly put me on hold for five minutes without explanation or warning.

This behaviour was unprofessional, inconsiderate, and unacceptable. Paying customers should not be subjected to such a dismissive and frankly bitchy experience. The fact that Foxtel enables this conduct reflects very poorly on the company as a whole.

I will never recommend or use Foxtel again purely based on this experience. The cancellation process should be customer-friendly, transparent, and available online without requiring a phone call. Forcing people into uncomfortable conversations as a sales tactic is manipulative and outdated.

Why have ADDS AND MORE ADDS

Why have you LOT ADDED ADVERTISING when we already pay for the privilege to watch a movie add free and what we already pay for. The reason I got Fox was to get away from all those pesky, moronic, asinine, imbecile ads and what have you lot done - you ADDED them. I am present watching The Librarian movie andALREADY I HAVE BEEN BOMBARDED WITH 3 SETS OF ADS IN JUST 30 MINUTES.
How money hungry can you people be!!!!

Foxtel never cease to amazing me with…

Foxtel never cease to amazing me with their terrible service. Randomly raised their price on me with no notification asides from an email that said “your package may be changing” without any details on in the email about what that change actually was. Then they raised my package by $20 in the next bill. They did this to me last year and over three months they raised my package from $44 to $94 and I didn’t notice it until I looked at a bill. Terrible dishonest company.

Way overpriced and the ads will drive you nuts

How on earth could this be such an expensive service? For all that money, to be riddled with ads.... ads that don't even play through, you have to manually click back from "learn more" each time. The movie/series selection is poor, I seem to be constantly pressing "reload" to refresh. Completely useless. Keep away from it.

Fabulous Customer Service.

I rang to discuss renewing my contract and wasn't really happy with what the Customer Service Representative offered me.
I am a Platinum Customer and have been with the company for 21years.
When I complained the CSR put me through to Lori in Brisbane.
In no time flat, Lori had made me an offer that I was more than happy with.
Many thanks to Lori for a job well done.

DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY

Your contact “customer service” is PATHETIC !
Not only can you not understand the non English speaking operators you CANNOT hear them ! 53 minutes on the phone with over 30 minutes of SILENCE, finally I’ve disconnected this service.

Not worth it.

I only pay for Foxtel for my grandfather who only wants it because
A) He's already memorised the channels and doesn't want to memorise different ones.
B) He likes the movie channels and the news.

I changed my billing date and they charged me $20 for the added week. That's $20 on top of the $77 I already have to pay for their most basic package so $97 down the drain and if I hadn't paid on time I would've been billed a penalty or had it turned off. Their online live chat is also a joke and speaking with actual workers isn't much better.

They keep jacking up the price even though my basic package has stayed the same, they're a rip off.

They have charged me for using a free…

They have charged me for using a free trial! I cancelled the trial after a couple of days because the selection wasn’t amazing. Today (a month after I cancelled) they have taken the full amount out of my account. I contacted customer service and they said it’s because I already had a trial. I had never had a trial for Foxtel in the past. I asked them to provide me with the date I had already had a trial but they said they were not able to. They are absolutely liars and rip offs!

Just received an email from Foxtel informing me of a price increase wef 1/3/25. I decided to cancel my subscription but the system would not allow me to log on to my account.

FOXTEL ARE ABSOLUTE THIEVES! It’s now, 3 months after requesting a refund STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANYTHING!!! HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU HAVE TO ASK SOMEONE TO RETURN SOMETHING THAT DOESNT BELONG TO THEM!? After 3 months I consider them thieves . I wouldn’t give them a star, if I didn’t have to. JUST DONT DO IT! Dont’t waste your time or money. Their viewing content is outdated and boring. If a company can’t pay a bill it’s either they’re going broke or they just take, like a thief. I was told I would be paid by CHEQUE!! (If I ever get one! ) (Who uses cheques thdays when you pay them via the internet and you’re hard pressed to find a bank branch). FUXTEL IS AS OUTDATED AS THEIR VIEWING CONTENT! Pathetic. There’s so many better options out there. Foxtel is definitely NOT ONE OF THEM. The CEO must be a real douche bag to treat customers the way they do.

Oh foxtel are to worried about the stackholders and not the people who keep them going.it is just after 12am and said that they have charged me before i cancelled until the the 23 and as soon as 12 o’clock comes see you later, pppfffftttt what a joke . I will be telling people to do research on other apps. Been with them for over ten years and are happy to let a long team member go and not look after them ?? But look after someone who is just signing up?? Will change you plan after going on a contract for 12 months and change you with no compensation for paying for two months at a high rate… what a joke. Also repeats for so long better off watching free to air tv, you will catch up anyway and all the apps that are out there today don’t need foxtel….. rip off and don’t look after long term members….. would of left a zero review but the option isn’t there, don’t get it do your research people

Last 12 months have had ongoing issues…

Last 12 months have had ongoing issues with our IQ4 box, and support are hopeless. Can't speak to an actual person. Go to support page and do everything that's asked. Still not resolved. Live Chat is half robotic answered as well. And then when you finally get an operator on chat, it's as if they don't care and easily try to fob you off. Terrible service and reviewing other streaming services.

Without a doubt the worst company I’ve ever delt with, After being loyal foxtel customers for nearly 25 years, and paying around $170/month we decided foxtel was no longer providing enough value to be worth keeping, upon ringing them to cancel, they where relentless trying to get us to stay connected they would not take no for an answer it was actually incredibly frustrating, anyways they convinced us to stay connected with a $70 a month plan to see if that suited us, we paid the money and next thing you know our foxtel service is now cancelled we can no longer use any of our boxes of foxtel go and after ringing them around 10 times trying to get this situation sorted and being given the absolute run around everytime, they eventually informed me that my box didn’t exist in the database which doesn’t make any sense whatsoever since it was working perfectly fine prior to this, during this time of tying to get this issue sorted I had daily phone calls from sales people trying to convince me to upgrade my plan and stay connected for longer meanwhile my service still wasn’t even working and I was paying for nothing, another month goes by and unfortunately $70 was paid again but the service still wasn't working so, enough was enough I rang up and demanded a refund and for my plan to be cancelled immediately, only to be told we can only issue a credit, what good is a credit when my service isn’t even working, go figure, then the real kicker I get sent a letter telling me to return my box that supposed didn’t exist in their database hence why they claim it wasn’t working and there was nothing they could do about it but all of a sudden I actually do have a box and they want it back, anyways I told them to come collect it themselves and to finish everything off nicely they sent me a letter claiming I still owed $2.50, I honestly cannot even begin to fathom how this company is still in business absolutely shocking customer service and I’m embarrassed that I was ever a customer of there’s needless to say I’ll never be one again

( I should also add when I was trying to cancel the first time they wanted to know why and I said that Netflix etc was cheaper and better and no adverts etc and their response to me is that Netflix has bad customer service compared to then so I should strongly think about sticking with Foxtel and their good customer service department, what an absolute joke that tuned out to be, absolutely fuming)

Foxtel cancelation process



After many years with Foxtel, I canceled my subscription due to a lack of new content. While I was required to return the box promptly, my request for them to remove their satellite dish from my roof has been ignored, despite following up with another email.

It’s disappointing that customer service seems to end once you cancel. Foxtel needs to improve how they handle former customers if they ever want to regain the business.

Sick to death of Foxtel stopping me viewing shows just to ask if I’m still watching. NOne of your business you useless dogs. I pay for a service and you should just deliver. The amount of times I’ve missed a KO in boxing etc cause of this. Pisses me right off. Save your money. Annoying repetitive pieces of crap!!
