Impossible to get a response from Foncia and only one general meeting in the past three years!

Foncia assumed responsibility for the "management" of the building in which I own an apartment, succeeding Citya. However, with the exception of collecting the charges, no action has been taken since then. They have only conducted one general meeting in the past three years, fail to respond to emails or phone calls, and don't even respect the formal notice deadlines following receipt of a registered letters.

We had an extremely disappointing…

We had an extremely disappointing experience with Foncia. We rented a property from January to July of this year (2024). While communication during the rental period was reasonably acceptable, the situation deteriorated significantly after our contract ended.

Despite being owed over €1500, we have spent the past six months attempting to resolve this matter through numerous calls and emails—many of which went unanswered. On the rare occasions we managed to get in touch, we were forced to explain the situation repeatedly, as new account managers were frequently assigned and appeared to have no knowledge of our case.

As international students living in Paris, we are deeply disheartened by Foncia’s handling of this issue. Their approach has been highly unprofessional, leaving us with no resolution to date. Based on our experience, we would never recommend this agency to others.

easiest way way to communicate

I experienced some difficulties in using the new methods of payments and I received prompt response and assistance from foncia's online representative.
After explaining that I was in good faith and made some attempts to pay with previous methods, they reversed the mise en dimore fees.
Very good organization.

Bad phone service, bad platform service

Foncia provide so bad service in Bourg-La-Reine.

For location, I have called multiple numbers (their collegues give all the wrong number of the agency) to finally get the right agency, and to finally find out the offer is not available any more. They don't update the offer on their website.

For the buying, call the indicated number, rarely available. Offer display on their web, but not available for the viewing.

I have the feeling that I am dealing with the french administration, not a business agency.

Company was rude and did not provide…

Company was rude and did not provide customer service. Expected us to work around their schedule - we had booked in advance, including the fact that we were driving all day to get there only to have them say we needed to cater to them. Property did not present as advertised. Blood on mattress, and actually all the mattresses were soiled; pillows and linens were not cleaned and pillow literally had the stuffing falling out; hair in fridge; dishes needed to be cleaned prior to use; floors not cleaned; patio table and deck dirty; etc etc. We tried to resolve by requesting new linens and a room clean, however, company refused and were dismissive, totally rude. What a disappointment after travelling so far. I would never ever recommend this company, nor any company who associates with it.

Big company with bored employees who do the bare minimum to provide any customer service.

Good company for regularly putting out demands for funds though.

Obnoxious rental personnel Dylan

Tried to rent an apartment with Foncia. Dylan Vinissac, the rental person, was unpleasant and, actually, obnoxious as he decided that as well as a complete up to date dossier of pay slips, tax returns, work contract etc that salary certificates were needed. Clearly, he just wanted to use the tiny bit of power he felt he had to block my dossier for whatever reason. We rented a lovely flat through another agency but wanted to complain to Mr Vinissac's manager as he was so unpleasant...Foncia actually, Foncia lost a year of rental commissions because this individual arbitrarily decided my complete dossier needed something not originally asked for.

Thieves

I sold my apartment in Dec 2023 after having a nightmare with Foncia for the three years I owned it. 4th of March, I had an email from Foncia to tell me that I am due a refund of approx €235. I heard nothing from them and after numerous emails, even to the estate agent that sold the apartment, we eventually heard from Foncia. Their response was that they couldn't give us the reimbursement because they didn't have sufficient funds. They explained that due to people not paying their co-ownership bill, they did not have the funds to give me my reimbursement. I'm appalled by their attitude as a very large company and I'm looking into where I go from here. The money they owe me is my money, not Foncia's. My advice: do not buy any apartments in France under the management of Foncia. I learned the hard way.
