Awful customer service
In Vence (PACA), I found a ticket on my windscreen which stated I had parked for too long and that I had to pay a fine of 17 euros.
Not happy to have a parking ticket but accepted that I had to pay the fine.
On the ticket there was written a web address so I logged on in order to pay the fine immediately.
But when I entered the identifying numbers written on the ticket as required, there were two numbers missing. They were described as the "Cle" numbers. They weren't on the ticket. So I couldn't complete the payment.
The same happened when I rang the phone number provided and when I scanned the flashcode. No matter what I tried there was no way I could pay because of the two missing numbers.
That was all frustrating and time consuming but to make it worse, it's impossible to find a contact number or email address to ask for help.
In the end, I had to find the nearest office which, luckily, wasn't too far away but it took three hours out of my day to make a special trip to get this sorted. I imagine they have very few offices so I should think many people would have to travel much further than I did.
In total, I probably spent about six hours trying to do something that should have taken no more than 10 minutes.
Bottom line, apart from the very bad reputation this company is gaining for the dodgy methods they appear to use to inflict fines, they have pretty much zero means
for "customers" to sort out problems that the Company itself has created thanks to badly thought out procedures.
Next time I go to Vence, I'll be sure to park somewhere where this Company doesn't operate. I'll also call into the Marie to inform them that the Company they have given the contract to to control their parking areas are causing significant problems for residents and tourists not only in Vence, but in pretty much all the places they operate in France if the reviews on Trustpilot and other sites are to go by.
