In 2002, Freebird became the first airline in Türkiye to receive the ISO 9001:2000 certification from TÜV Rheinland. In July 2006, it became the first charter airline in Türkiye to obtain IOSA registration under the IATA Operational Safety Audit programme.
Freebird Airlines Europe
Freebird Airlines Europe commenced operations on 20 February 2019 after receiving its Air Operator Certificate from the Malta Civil Aviation Directorate. Based in Malta, the airline operates in accordance with European Union Aviation Safety Agency standards and Maltese aviation regulations.

A 100% shambles from the airline
A 100% shambles from the airline, staff/crew down to Manchester ground crew. Seats on the plane broken staff unprofessional, threatening, it’s was disgusting totally unpleasant experience which will never repeat from my experience this airline should not be enabled to leave the ground it’s totally unsafe

They cancelled our flight without any…
They cancelled our flight without any other flight. The flight was fully booked. Now i have to find another ticket which is much more expensive shortly before the vacation. Book additional nights since i cannot find at the same day etc. very unreliable

Freebird bad experience
We were due to take off on Saturday 1st November 2025 at 13.30 from Gatwick to Skopje . The Flight time kept changing to the next hour and so on! At around 18:00, flight information "flashed up" delayed to the next day 2nd November 2025 at 8:15am. No explanation given from anyone. Finally Took off on 2/11/2025 around 9.35am! What is suspicious about this airline is that we were not given new boarding passes for the 2/11/2025 flight, we had to use the old passes. This makes it difficult to prove to any travel insurance provider that we actually took off a day later and missed out on a day's holiday! Our travel insurance provider cannot find any information about our delayed Freebird flight listed at Gatwick on the dates, as if the flight did not exist!
