AirBNB Breakdown Academy not so great

Bryson Blocker and Inayah McMillan are AirBnB hosts and wannabe STR gurus. We were persuaded to sign up for a Black Friday deal after attending one of their prerecorded webinars and the offer was never very clear but made it appear that we were getting access to their entire suite. Instead of providing us access to their full network, they siloed us into a cohort of our own and gave us limited access to their program.

The instructional program was poorly organized and included videos borrowed from other programs. The scripts were limited in scope and quality, we have since received better information from other resources.

The program has now changed names twice since we registered (AirBNB Breakdown Academy, STRLaunch, Stayly) and they continue sending us emails that ask us book appointments and to sign contracts committing to us coaching programs that we never requested.

You might get some value out of their program but be warned that the Short Term Rental (STR) Market has become saturated with inventory and it isn't as easy as it was two or three years ago to make money on AirBNB or VRBO as it was during and after COVID-19. Be careful before you pay any guru for a program that will teach you the insider tricks and offer you a coaching program to get your business off the ground. Short Term and Medium Term Rental ownership is a hospitality business, not a get-rich-quick scheme and, despite the promises of easy riches, it's a tough business that requires a lot of work to succeed.
