FrenchTextbook is a self-paced, interactive online French course for English speakers starting from zero. It covers the whole A1 level of the CEFR. 26 chapters, 162 lessons, and you go from bonjour to real conversations in French. The course is built on doing. You write, you record yourself, you answer, and you get corrected. The course is self-paced. Lessons take 30 to 40 minutes each, and you do them on a phone, a tablet or a laptop. Your progress saves as you go, so you can do some listening exercises in the morning and the grammar exercises on the bus on your way to work. The grammar is explained in plain English, so you know why a sentence works. You read and hear French from lesson 1, including dialogues, menus and forms. You speak and write in every chapter, and both get corrected.
