Outstanding company to work for!
Working as a tutor for Fresh Start in Education is an incredibly rewarding experience. The support, communication, and training are fantastic and you really do feel like you belong to a team.
The work we do—helping young people re-engage with education—is invaluable. Each day is definitely different (to say the least!), but the young people we support are lovely and making a breakthrough with them is the best part of the job. The entire team, including the SLT, is kind, approachable, and truly lives by the company's core values. They invest in their people and treat everyone with respect. I wouldn’t want to work anywhere else.

When I first joined FS, I didn't get as many placements as I would have liked. However, the following academic year, I made my feelings known, and they did their very best to ensure that I worked regularly. They listened to me and made it clear that they wanted to keep me on. That's all you could ask for from an employer! I love working for FS. I love the feeling that I have a say in the journey of the young people I work with. My Education Co-ordinator is amazing, too — always helpful and on hand if I need her. Meeting the office staff in real life really helped, too, because then you feel like you're part of a big UK-wide team.

I enjoy working for Fresh Start as an Education Specialist. Training is first class and ratios of staff for individual pupils who have ASN delivers. Staff can claim £15 daily on resources for pupils and there’s always a Lead in the office on hand to answer problem questions/offer support.

Supportive, friendly and kind staff. Always available to provide any support at any time with clear and consistent communication. A great team to be part of!

Fresh Start is amazing!
Fresh Start genuinely cares about each individual, both the children and young adults they support through placements, as well as their staff. They are consistently helpful, understanding, and supportive, creating a positive and inclusive environment for everyone involved.

The administration staff are excellent, they are always on hand to advise, or support the tutors in a professional and friendly manner. The company works really hard to place tutors with students that they can benefit. They also keep you well informed of any developments. The company as a whole treats it's tutors well with regular online meetings both formal and informal. Best organisation that I have worked for.

My son is very autistic and has a rare genetic disorder, he will often discuss things he knows nothing about or about fantasy businesses he wants to start
He will latch on to things he hears on tv , news or on line and then add his own world into it
This was a case with a comment he made to a teacher about him suing the company if he got hurt and they will go into administration
Suddenly we get a phone call, lessons stopped cause the now need him to be 2 : 1 taught incase

It just proved his teacher and the company clearly didn't get my son and his world
Disgraceful

The tutors were lovely but weren't working in child's best interest. The tutors had recorded and reported our personal conversations that we would have around our home and over the phone (these conversations were not recorded due to safeguarding as the child is really well looked after but it did seem like the tutors were 'spying' on us).

We found this behaviour highly unethical and unprofessional. It also made us doubt their honesty and intentions towards our child. There was even a time, when they were pressed by LA to produce results, the tutors gave the child ultimatums which did not help their anxiety and also went against the EHCP provisions.

Such a great company to work for- high standards and values that are a genuine part of every process, every day. Good training, systems, support and work/life balance.

Working with Fresh Start in Education inspires and encourages you to be the best version of you. I definitely feel valued and fulfilled in what I do for the company. The environment is supportive and encouraging. The values are shared by all the staff and embedded in our work. Everyone at Fresh Start is working together towards the same goal. It's a fun and rewarding place to be.

All staff are kind, helpful and approachable including the SLT.
