A morally bankrupt company that has…

A morally bankrupt company that has delighted in the controversial Meghan Markle means this is a label to AVOID. Brands need to act with integrity these days and not squeal like a child because a person of such horrendous behaviour wanted to wear your dress, and wore it so terribly that it looks like a potato sack. I hadn’t heard of the label before and now it has established itself as one to avoid. Had they asked that person not to wear their dress, I’d have bought 5 things on a whim to support class and good taste and recognition of good brand ambassadors. All publicity isn’t good publicity when it comes to such controversial or disliked brand ambassadors- worse is how excited this label was. Ick

I’m extremely disappointed with my Essen sandals

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience purchasing the Sporty Slingback in chocolate through Friends of Frank.
While Friends of Frank were helpful and contacted Essen on my behalf, the response from Essen was incredibly disappointing. Despite purchasing the correct size, the back Velcro strap is too short — a clear design flaw. After wearing the sandals only twice, it became obvious the strap doesn’t properly cover the Velcro, leaving it exposed so everything sticks to it and the sandals end up looking cheap.
Essen’s solution was to offer sending an extra piece of leather for me to take to my own boot maker to have it altered. For a $495 pair of sandals, this is completely unacceptable. I shouldn’t have to arrange and pay for modifications on a brand-new product due to a manufacturing or design issue.
This reflects very poorly on Essen’s customer service and quality control.
Save your money — I would strongly advise against buying these sandals
