Broken seals on multiple meals - no full refund offered
When I received my first Frive box, three of the meals had broken seals, making them unsafe to consume. As a result, I did not feel comfortable eating any of the meals and ended up throwing the rest away.
I contacted customer service, and while they refunded the three affected meals, they refused to issue a full refund for the box, stating the others were “safe to consume”. Given the condition of the delivery, I strongly disagree - if some meals arrive compromised, it raises concerns about the handling of the entire order.
This was my first experience with Frive and it has been very disappointing. Food safety should be a basic standard, and the resolution offered did not reflect the seriousness of the issue.

Christine was very helpful and cancelled my order as a good will gesture even though it was outside of the timeframe, due to being away and time difference meaning that I missed the deadline.
Awful - Would never recommend
I had been using Frive for several weeks and initially things were fine, but one delivery completely ruined my experience.
One of my meals arrived with multiple plastic pot seals broken inside the food, leaving sharp pieces of plastic floating around in the dish. This made the meal totally inedible and frankly dangerous. I raised this immediately via WhatsApp, only to discover that you don’t speak to an actual person but an AI bot.
I was repeatedly told the issue had been raised as a priority with a 24‑hour response time, yet I had to chase for 5 days just to get a reply and push for a refund. The lack of urgency around a food safety issue was shocking.
After this, I was completely put off the food and decided not to continue using Frive. I believed I had cancelled all upcoming deliveries and deleted the app. However, this morning £84 was taken from my bank account for a full week of food that is apparently being delivered this coming Sunday.
When I logged into my account online, I discovered my subscription had somehow restarted, despite having received no deliveries for 4 weeks. I cancelled it again immediately and contacted WhatsApp as I was extremely frustrated. I was told that because it was past the Tuesday 8pm cut-off, nothing can be done and no refund will be issued.
This is unacceptable. I know for a fact the delivery will not be picked up by DPD until Saturday, so there clearly is something that could be done if they wanted to. To make matters worse, I did not receive any email notification, delivery reminder, or cut-off warning — something I always received when I was actively using Frive.
After getting absolutely nowhere with the AI bot, the issue has supposedly been assigned to a support agent and I’m told I’ll be contacted within 24 hours. Based on past experience, I have very little confidence that this will actually happen without further chasing.
Between the food safety issue, non-existent customer service, subscription problems, and refusal to refund, this company has been an absolute nightmare to deal with.
I would never recommend Frive to anyone.

I initially contacted live chat support regarding an issue with my order; however, they were unable to resolve it due to system limitations. This was disappointing at first, and I felt my concern needed further escalation.
So I pushed to escalate this to next in line manager, my case was later handled by Fritzgerald, who took the time to carefully review everything and fully understand my situation. At first, I felt a bit hopeless, as I recognised that part of the issue may have also have contributed from my own negligence and misunderstanding, while also highlighting concerns with the system itself. To my surprise, he provided clear communication, demonstrated great professionalism, and ultimately came back with a fully resolved solution to my issue. I was genuinely surprised and astonished by the effort he put into resolving the matter!
I truly appreciate the patience, care, and dedication he demonstrated throughout the process. He turned what was initially a frustrating experience into a very positive one, and I am very grateful for his support.
Overall, I am so satisfied with how the issue was eventually handled and sincerely appreciate the assistance provided. Fritzgerald is a real asset to the company and deserves recognition for his outstanding customer service. His compassion and commitment to genuine customer care truly stand out and make a meaningful impact. From my heart thank you Fritzgerald for going above and beyond!

Chat bot before speaking to a real person and then back and forth to get any solution but with Frive it was so simple and easy. Thank you
Really tasty food
Really tasty food, a large selection of dishes… of course, it could always be bigger, especially for breakfast. But it’s definitely delicious. I’m ordering for the second time now. It’s very useful for achieving the right average calorie count every day. It would be great if there were keto options as well. I would also really like to see a feature in the app where you can check the upcoming delivery menu, because right now you can only see what you can edit and change. It would be nice to see what I’ve already ordered… because I forget 🤩 Overall, there’s room for improvement, but I definitely recommend it to everyone because it’s tasty and simple.

All meals have a different taste.. vs some you get with different meaty and vegetables .. but the same sauce. And so far there has been lots of variety across the weeks, and have found some favourites I’ll have on repeat. Great customer service too! Carla did a great job helping me collect my rewards!

I’m quite a newbie to this site as I’ve only had 3 deliveries so far with my 4th due next weekend. So far out of 15 meals I’m pleasantly surprised at the variety on offer, the standard of cookery, the ease of a 4 minute blast in the microwave and it’s a good feeling that I’m getting a balanced meal.
As an 81 yr old widow but who likes interesting meals (not meat & 2 veg) I’m aware that it’s easy to not bother cooking much & just order ready meals on my online weekly supermarket shop. But I believe this company are offering proper balanced meals for which they are to be commended.
