After renewing my license I did not receive new keys for months. I had to follow up. The customer service is not good.

Froala offers strong editing tools and great design, but the commercial license might feel costly for small teams. Still satisfied overall.

Very impressed by how quick Froala loads and how clean the code output is. Great fit for SaaS apps.
It's too bad
It's too bad. It seems like good software made by devs who care. But whoever is in charge of policy and customer service is a greasy used car salesman.
They got me in after TinyMCE (another terrible company) tried to shake me down for over $30k to simply use their editor in my small SaaS. I found Froala and it seemed good, and I signed up for an annual deal.
Unfortunately our project got delayed so I went to cancel my annual subscription before it renewed, intending to come back when / if the project gets green lighted.
Only to find out THEY DON'T HAVE A CUSTOMER PORTAL.. very much on purpose. They make you go through their email customer support for everything.. even simply getting your product key (that you need to use it). You also can't manage the subscription or even SEE when it renews.
When I emailed them they said I have to email a separate email to cancel 30 days before it renews.
There is literally NO excuse for this.. the crappy policy and the lack of a portal. They're a SOFTWARE COMPANY. It's clearly just to trap people into subscriptions.
Until they change their stance on this, stay away from this company. Froala, if you're reading this.. do better.
Froala Tries to Force Upgrade with False Claims
Froala falsely accused me of using one license in multiple companies, which is completely untrue. They couldn't provide any proof, just guessed based on unrelated domains owned by the same company.
They pushed me to upgrade to an expensive enterprise license without reason. It felt like a tactic to squeeze money by fear and confusion.
We never used Froala in any paid SaaS product, and definitely not across different organizations. When I asked for facts, they had none.
This is not how a serious company should act. Avoid Froala if you value fair treatment and clear terms.
Perfect editor for in-house browser app

I've been a paying customer for 3 years, and this is my last year now.
There customer support is just abysmal, they (without consulting you about anything) hike the price by more then double.
They suddenly they change their pricing, and gaslight you into saying it was always like that (even though i've shown them the documents i've received initially said completely other stuff)
There support is so bad, they don't keep track of emails send, so you always have to reiterate everything that has already been send.
I've been trying to cancel with them for 1,5 years now, and they keep bothering me.
Don't trust this company!
Won't issue refund on a fraudulant charge!
Terrible customer service, borderline fraudulent activity and insane prices for something you can easily find for FREE. Had an employee sign up for this without authorization and noticed a $973.60 charge on my account "renewing the service". First, folks this is a crazy price for a simply font and text editor. But, back to the point. I expressed to this company that I did not authorize this service and politely requested a refund. They refused and after a lot of back and forth they simply blamed me and kept telling me I bought this service which I did not. Almost $1000 taken by this company from my small business in my opinion. I will dispute and hopefully recoup the money but PLEASE be aware of this company and their policies. And most importantly THERE ARE SERVICES LIKE THIS THAT ARE FREE and offer MORE features. Terrible company.
Froala won't cancel automatic credit card charge!
I got Froala Editor last year. I paid for a year of service. It's an ok editor, but it's expensive and we don't use it anymore. It's set to renew and charge me again mid-December.
So, last week, I went online to cancel the autorenewal coming up next month, but could not find a way to log into their website. It turns out they do not have a customer login portal at all. The only option to see my account or make changes is to write their customer service.
So, yesterday, I wrote them to cancel the service before it renews in 3 weeks, so my card won't get charged. They responded via email that I CAN'T STOP THEM FROM CHARGING MY CARD 3-weeks from now because by their policy, I haven't notified them to cancel 30 days before the renewal!
I explained my situation to them. I explained that this is not something we can do. I asked them for HELP. They didn't care. I then asked them to close my account immediately and remove my information from their system.
They responded , "Due to your renewal being due less than 30 days from now, we can not cancel the renewal. We can not violate our own Terms of Service. We are complying with the Terms as they were outlined over 2 years ago and we will not contradict them."
This is outrageous! This is NOT an ethical company. This is NOT what ethical companies do. This is NOT how you create loyal customers. Instead, this how desperate, unethical companies gouge their unsuspecting customers for no reason.
There is no valid reason that they cannot cancel the service immediately, except for the fact that they are trying to get paid at all cost, even at the expense of the customers they are pretending to serve.
This is an unreasonable policy and an unreasonable position to take with paying customers like me as it just creates antagonism. If a customer doesn't want their service, they shouldn't try to force them to spend nearly $1,000 to buy it for another year.
I am very disappointed in Froala and disgusted at this type of business practice. Had I known this is the type of company they were, I never would have signed up to use their text editor in the first place.
