I reached out to Doyles about my previous order that did not thrive due to off weather patterns here in 7b PA - periods of heavy rain, followed by weeks of sprinkles of rain and hotter than normal temps and new gardener inexperience. AND Doyles sent me out 5 new Blackberry plants!! Totally unexpected but welcomed all the same. Happily I can report that all the plants are thriving. Thanks again to Doyles. Next year I am looking forward to sending pictures of healthy full plants 😊

I have purchased blackberries from other places, planted them carefully, watered as they said, and within the first month, they all died. These plants came alive, vibrant, and healthy. I ensured the soil was what was indicated for them to grow, planted them, and watered them through the worst summer we've had in over a decade. No rain for over a month. Watered almost every night. The nights I couldn't be here to water, they were watered the next morning. They have been in the ground since about May 25th, and they are growing, reaching out tendrils, expanding their small area, and they are still healthy. I've gotten them through the summer, just need to get them through the freezing winter ahead. I am really hoping I can do it. If they don't make it, it's on me, they are doing their utmost to flourish.

My first 4 plants we’re growing slow, they shipped 4 more at no charge . Thx

I originally purchased 3 and they died and the company was kind enough to send Me three more. 2 died 1 is surviving. I am following the directions as supplied but I think it is just too hot. We are seeing 99 to 105 every day. I am checking ph levels and soil wetness, and the last one is barely hanging on. Central Texas may just not be the place for this type of blackberries.

When I made my original purchase, 1 of the 3 plants were damaged in shipping and didn’t survive. Another died within a week. I gave an original review of 1 star. The company saw my review and replaced both plants without me asking for anything. That is outstanding customer service. The replacement plants are doing good. Doyle’s does stand behind their product.

I purchased 2 plants in Spring. They were 3-4”. They didn’t start to grow until July. One was in better condition than the other which died back to almost nothing. I finally put them in the ground this week because I didn’t think they were healthy enough to survive the transplant. My fingers are crossed they survive the fall and winter. For the price they should have been larger and healthier. Frankly I was disappointed.
