The best prop firm out there. Great rules, cheap accounts, and quick payouts. One of the few sites that you don't have to worry about payout denials.

Passing an FTMO evaluation should be a milestone, but the post-evaluation onboarding process has been filled with friction and unnecessary bottlenecks.

1. Delayed Evaluation Transition:
After hitting the profit target on my FTMO Futures evaluation account, my dashboard remained locked under "Under Review." While standard trade data updates in real time, FTMO enforces a 1 to 3 business day manual audit queue before moving traders to the Sim-Funded stage. Modern competitors offer instant automated activation upon meeting targets.

2. Broken KYC Verification (Sumsub Bug & Discrepancy):
Once the evaluation review finally completed, the KYC option unlocked, but the system proved unusable for UAE residents:

Missing ID Options: The initial FTMO instruction banner explicitly states to prepare one of three documents: Passport, National ID card or Driving Licence. However, on the document selection screen for the UAE, only Identity Card and Passport are shown- Driving Licence is missing entirely.

Automated Rejection Loop: Selecting "Identity Card" and uploading an official UAE Resident/Emirates ID triggers an automated rejection stating: "The uploaded Residence permit is not accepted." Sumsub’s OCR parser incorrectly misclassifies the Emirates ID as a residence ID rather than an official identity document. Choosing my country of citizenship (India) to submit my passport is not an option, as it contradicts my registered UAE residence profile.

3. Poor & Unhelpful Support:
LiveChat support was unable to assist with this known compliance bug and simply directed me to email.

Between multi-day transition delays, an ill-configured KYC portal and passive customer support, FTMO’s onboarding experience falls well short of modern industry standards.

I’ve tried FTMO Futures, and unfortunately, my experience so far has been negative. To be clear, my issue isn’t necessarily with FTMO itself, but with the choice of trading platform for futures.

Futures markets can move extremely quickly, and I’ve experienced multiple issues with Tradovate and TradingView not syncing properly, particularly when placing or adjusting stop losses and take profits. I’ve lost trades because of these execution issues and have also experienced slippage that can potentially push an account into the hard daily loss limit, even when a personal daily loss limit has been set.

It became a real headache and, in my experience, the current platform setup simply isn’t well suited to fast-moving futures trading, especially for traders who chart and execute through TradingView.

I genuinely like the FTMO Futures concept, which makes this particularly frustrating. I think FTMO should seriously consider offering a better futures trading platform or eventually developing its own in-house solution with more reliable execution and risk controls.

This is simply an honest review based on my experience as a user. FTMO Futures has a lot of potential, but the platform experience needs improvement. Please do something about it.
