I have attended several dissection webinars and online training courses offered by Julian Baker at Functional Anatomy, and I can say that they are always informative and educational. Julian is an expert in the field of fascia and its role in human movement and health. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience that he shares with his students in a clear and engaging way. He also uses high-quality specimens and equipment to demonstrate the anatomy and physiology of the human body. To 'see' the soft tissue we as therapists think we influence is a privilege. Julian Baker makes all the right connections between the 'tissue' and considerations for therapeutic intervention. Functional Anatomy is a must for all 'hands on' therapists. It is also a must for the 'hands off' body of therapists! Seeing is believing..

Julian delivers a unique and special program. It is an indepth exploration of anatomy and physiology, delivered in such a way that made it all highly relevant and thought provoking.
The recorded dissections facilitate deeper learning and critical thinking.
The weekly Q and As are a wonderful platform to experience Julian's dry humour whilst he supports and (rightly so) questions current practice in a thoughtful and considered manner.

I recently completed Functional Anatomy's Transformational Anatomy Programme with Julian. Phenomenal learning! My understanding of the human form & function has expanded massively. The course is very comprehensive and divided into bite-sized sections, all explained clearly and illustrated with highly informative cadaver dissection videos (all respectfully filmed and commented on). The weekly live (online) Q&A sessions were really helpful & an end-of-course 1-2-1 was the cherry on the anatomy-learning cake. Most importantly, I've gained new tools and ways of working to take into my clinic room - my clients are already benefiting from my new learning. Thank you Julian & the FA team.

Wow what an amazing course this is. This course is taught in a completely different perspective to your usual textbook style courses. Julian teaches anatomy through dissections. There are no confusing photos or diagrams - you see the real thing and the workings of different parts of the body. This for me was mind-blowing as I realised what I had previously learnt was incorrect – the evidence was clear in the dissections. Julian shares his vast knowledge and experience in an easy to understand fun way. It is clearly evident how passionate he about this subject and the enthusiasm he has to share what he knows. He is always available to answer questions. I highly recommend this course and I believe all hands on therapists would benefit from this course. I also think this is a must have course for anyone interested in anatomy. Julian has inspired me to want to learn more. Thank you Julian.

Julian's work is fascinating and eye opening, showing us what really exists under our skin. You won't find this stuff in the anatomy books.

Julian weds passion, in-depth knowledge, facts, as well as opinions (always presented as such and open for discussion) into a wonderful cocktail for us all to savour as a wonderful learning experience. And the dash of humour can be found in each recipe :) The joints dissection class is my first encounter with Julian's work, but certainly not my last.

Julian gives a unique and incredible experience in seeing human anatomy and exploring the functionality of the body. His honest and thoughtful answers are informed by his many years of experience as a body work practitioner who has sought to understand on a deeper level. I highly recommend joining if you can, since it has given me new insights and lots to think about and revise in my learning and healing journey.

Julian is simply amazing! Even though the content is cerebral with so much going on, he makes it so relatable. All the webinars that i have attended (dissection or otherwise) have all been immersive and entirely engaging. I havn't found anyone who "dissects" it so easy as Julian.

Julian provides an incredible experience of combined learning, questioning and probing the status quo in his incredible dissection class. It's conducted respectfully and sensitively, while opening the delegates eyes to so much more than we can ever learn from a book. Thank you Julian and team - I have come away saturated with new things to think about and a much more practical understanding of how the human body functions, which I look forward to translating into my Sports Massage approaches!

Julian's online anatomy and dissection courses are excellent. Fascinating for their own sake but also hugely informative for any kind of physical therapist. Julian doesn't just explain the body part you're looking at, but how it interacts with, affects and is affected by other parts that you might not think have anything to do with it. Definitely encourages you to think differently about the body.
